Oh god I have put on so much weight since giving up smoking, I'm glad I have quit smoking but now I need to re focus and loose this weight. I feel horrible and need a good kick up the bum to get me back on track.
HELP :)

Dark chocolate coated dried blueberries are apparently very nice too, but down here they're very expensive :P

You can get the dried blueberries from 2brothersfoods.com. Then, just coat them with your own dark chocolate! I wanted to try the goji berries before I went to the trouble of doing this myself.

Dede great that you gave up smoking now you just need to start planning your meals and snacks, being mindful of what you are eating and incorporate some exercise in everything you do - walking instead of getting in the car, running up stairs instead of just walking, taking a few minutes a couple of times a day to skip with a rope. All the little bits add up.

I did it before Wonder so I know I can do it again. I just am finding it hard to get the motivation. I need a push in the right direction again.

Mandi, now that you're not smoking, is it easier for you to breathe? You might find you can exercise more now, which really help with your weight loss :)

Is your weight gain because you're eating more, or is it some hormonal/metabolism thing? ???

I think I have just increased eating Amy to counteract not smoking. I tried not to but it happens without me really noticing. I need to watch what I eat and start exercising more. Simple really, just have to do it. :)

Mandi, I remember when I gave up smoking in 1995. I gained about 5kg in what seemed like a week! I found it especially hard when going out for a drink. I think I probably drank more - sip, "I want a cigarette", sip again, "I want a cigarette" again and again.

The weight eventually came off, though because I played both netball and hockey.

Good luck and don't beat yourself up if it takes a bit longer than you want.

I've changed my habit of wine and nibbles to soda water/wine, water crackers and weight watchers cottage cheese and enjoying it, long walk yesterday on the beach, so slowly improving my bad habits picked up while travelling

I've been walking, too Rainbow, but in the bush. I need to change the habit of wine to wine and soda. I don't eat when drinking, so that part's okay!

Do you walk around your property or some good bush tracks in the area, I used to bush walk in Albany years ago, we found some interesting places 😄😄😄😄
