Oh no Amy, throw them scales away. They don't know what they are talking about. Have you done measurements? I haven't yet but must do them cause I was disappointed Wednesday that I hadn't really changed any even though I have been really good with exercise and eating well. But it was that time of the month so I'm hoping it was just extra fluid and some muscle. I'm not weighing my self at all for a whole week (if I can stop myself) :D

Amy, as Robyn says it is only a number and will fluctuate for so many different reasons. You need to congratulate yourself on all the amazing things you have done extremely well this week, including all the amazing work you do at home and to help others, the exercising, studying and eating well and try not to dwell on your weight. Try not to loose heart and keep up the great work.

Thanks Wonder. Your comment made me feel a lot better :)

I'd love to throw them away but they belong to my personal trainer and they're very expensive :(
No measurements...

Amy, you know you exercise and eat well so phooey to the scales as the girls have said.  From what I have read, your height and weight ratio sounds quite OK to me. Don't live, eat and breathe weight issues when you are doing everything right. Get out there and just enjoy life whilst you are young and fit.

I agree Obbie and Judy, my scales were not nice to me either but I feel better for eating well and exercising more. The weight has to go down sooner or later :)

Amy, you really need to get on to the measurements as I imagine you are now at or below your target weight for your height so the measurements will start being a better indication of how you are going. You have mentioned your trainers specialise in people who need to loose substantial amounts of weights maybe they need to change the program a little for you now that you don't fit into their normal category.

Thanks girls :)
I just get paranoid. I know its bad, but its hard to change my thinking :(

I meant to ask my trainer today, but I was so diappointed with the weigh-in that I just wanted to get out of the studio before I started crying...

Thats what I'm hoping too! I went for a couple of walks today and ended up climbing the equivalent of 55 stairs...I've decided that I'm actually enjoying the stats and goals, something has to happen soon ??? I'm starting to feel a bit fitter I think, and I've just enjoyed getting outside of my office to soak up some fresh air and sunshine for a change. DD reckons I will be ready to go for my 100 stair challenge within the month -- oh dear that means 2 x walks around the hilly bush circuit, and would need to be done one in the morning and one later in the day...

Wow CP 55 stairs :o, I'm lucky to get 10 in as it's pretty flat around here. There is a few places that I can go to walk up hill but it's pretty limited. 100 would be a super effort :)

Only had mine 2 weeks, and you'll see what its like soon enough  ;D When you get odd numbers and so close to a fitness badge, you find that no matter how tired you are it would be hard to not push yourself that little bit more.

Amy, I think I know a little how you feel this morning. I've never focussed on my weight and we don't even have scales at home so I've only ever weighed meself at the gym. I've been loosing weight, getting fitter and lower body fat % over the last eight months which is great, but this morning when I was having measurements and weight updated with my PT according to some calculation he used for weight range I'm actually 11 kgs above the maximum range!! everything he told me after that was a blur as I was caught up on the weight. I actually think he got his calculations incorrect because he came up with a range of 48gk - 53kg for a 166cm female, which is extremely thin and nothing like any healthy range I've heard of before, 55 - 69kgs seems to be what is generally accepted for my height. He was very quick to point out that I shouldn't be worried about the actual weight and just to focus on my measurements, fitness level and body fat % which are all going down so all good.
