Dear AliRo and Pippa,  Congratulations to you both for getting entries in to the Baby and Toddler competition and I am thrilled for you AliRo that you have won another Bowl and Blade set - so handy - will that be your second or your third?

I feel very proud to have alerted you to the comp and I am sure you both will get a lot of satisfaction when people add comments after they've tried your recipes.  :)

Thanks everyone, I'm feeling quite pleased with myself as I did think long and hard about what would be a good entry.

I am thrilled for you AliRo that you have won another Bowl and Blade set - so handy - will that be your second or your third?

nope, just had the bowl that came with my thermie and now I've got my spare bowl set  :)  Looking forward to how much easier it will be having that spare bowl.  My Mum is very jealous because she's been wanting one for ages!

Well done AliRo on a great recipe and for winning the competition. I bought some broccoli at the shop to day so I could try your recipe.

Hahaha! Someone just posted a comment under my recipe about how unhealthy it is to be serving toddlers cheese all the time!  Um, anyone with half a brain knows not to serve cheese for breakfast lunch and dinner, but it certainly comes in handy when trying to get them to eat certain vegies.

Here's the direct quote

Why does just about every toddler recipe contain cheese?  This is the flavour that the kids are tasting and then get used to eating.  Eating cheese is not a healthy option.  Toddler food can be made tasty, appealing and nutritious without having to resort to adding cheese to everything

I especially love the bit about 'cheese is not a healthy option'!  Um, like everything we eat, it's all good in moderation.

Do you think I should bother making a reply comment?

Absolutely not. That is the difference between this forum and that.  We are all fairly tolerant here and accept that mothers are pretty much the most intelligent  people to  manage the  diets of their family. We don't judge or point fingers here.

When you encounter  people like that I find it is best to not give  them a voice. You have no need to respond to ill informed or just plain dumb people.

There is no point in engaging with people who have a closed mind. No point at all.

I agree!!! Will try out these recipes on all my little GC's. A good balanced diet and introduction to new tastes and textures is far better than always bland, bland, bland!!!! I
Of course this is just my opinion  :D
Congratulations on winning the comp ;D

Maybe sour grapes for not winning the comp AliRo.  I would ignore it too.
