The other day I was naughty and purchased cardamom buns from Phillips bakery ! Then to Lune the next morning and got their new December cherry chocolate danish ! So naughty but for all of us . Don’t think I’ll have much energy today after a few busy days and more next week .

So good to see you getting your cooking mojo back and slowly getting back of your new routine Chookie.  It brought a big smile to my face to read your post.

I was sitting on the front verandah chatting to my hens (a very much one-sided conversation, I must admit) when I heard lots of strange bird noises on the grass - it was four homeless ducklings.  I couldn't see or hear their mum anywhere and tried to steer them to a bird bath of water so they could at least hydrate themselves, but they wouldn't let me near them.  Hopefully they will be OK, but they were very young, so I am hoping mum will hear them and turn up.

I hope Mother duck finds the babies.

Chookie what a lovely outing for you both. Wonderful.

Today we had the car club Christmas lunch. Quite enjoyable. We had ham, turkey, lots of roast vegetables and several salads to choose from. Also a roll. Dessert was a small Christmas pudding with packet custard. Lovely company.

Marina, very strange about the ducklings.
Cookie, sounds lovely.
Big rock concert in park , Spilt Milk.  No noise, wind blowing noise away. Great to see lots of young people dressed up and heading towards the park.
Yesterday we had the biggest, nicest surprise for a long time. When we bought the new house, we knew our lovely GP lived in the same street. In fact he and family live right next door. Yesterday they came to visit. They are lovely people. Wife an Ag Scientist and 2 small boys, 10 and 8. They have a double block with an extensive veggie garden. They brought us some home grown lettuce. They are happy to have us as neighbours.

How wonderful Chookie, what a surprise that must have been.
Best seats in the house for any concerts in the park, not your type of music but great to watch from the activities from a safe distance.

We have a mother duck and 8 ducklings in the park behind us, we often hear them when they are going to the creek.
Chookie, it's nice to have good neighbours.  We have good neighbours on one side but the other side rarely speak of acknowledge you.

How wonderful to have your GP as your neighbour Chookie.
This morning I went for my 6 monthly check up at the dermatologist. He used a fair bit of liquid nitrogen on me and I go back in January to have a skin cancer removed, near my eye.
This afternoon I went to the eye specialist

Those check-ups are so important aren’t they cookie. You were obviously a sun lover in your younger days.

How lovely that you already knew your neighbour, Chookie ... and the vege garden is a bonus!!  My neighbour always shares his extra produce with me and it is lovely to be able to reciprocate in some way.

Somehow I couldn't see you and Ral attending a Spilt Milk concert ... not that I have ever heard of them, mind you, but seeing loads of people out enjoying themselves on a sunny day has a lovely atmosphere (I would take a guess that K Atie, or her kids, know the group though)

Not really a sun lover Judy. In fact I hated it. Most things are on my right arm, shoulder and right side of my face and neck. From driving home to the farm quite often (a 5 hour drive) with the window down and the sun on me. No air con in those days. Although my melanoma was in the centre of my back, apparently they can pop up anywhere.

Yesterday, big load to Op Shop. Still selling and giving away stuff.
Visit to Dr for scripts. He said to bang on their door if we ever need him in the middle of the night. Would have o be desperate to to that.
Visit to gut Dr., for me. All going well.
Cookie, good going to have those skin checks. I got into a little trouble for not having some fasting blood tests. Must do it.
