The sleep in has probably done you a world of good astarra.

You've been through quite an ordeal.

Sending gentle hugs.

Just got back from the hospital with DS - he had his Asthma specialist appointment today. She is fantastic and sent him for chest x-ray because I mentioned that he'd had a cough for a few months now. It's not related to his asthma (more from his ears & ear infections spreading) but she did it anyway, so am very impressed right now. He had pneumonia last year so it's always scary when things like this linger the way they have, but I don't think it will show anything sinister. He had has hearing test/ear specialist/surgical appointment last week, and they've decided to clean out his ears surgically and give him grommets to allow the area behind his eardrums to dry out, and they're also removing his adenoids to ensure the problem doesn't occur again. We don't have a date yet, but the surgeon said that it should be before the end of the year - hopefully we're not waiting too long.

Thank you all so much.  :-*
A good sleep seems to have cleared my head no end!  :)
Cleaned about 1/2 of the windows in the house and about 1/4 outside, using my latest purchase - enjo window set. As we have a LOT of windows (people call my lounge room a sunroom or conservertory) I am very happy with that effort, would have liked to do them all but decided I'd best not push myself too hard just yet.  :-))
Then my DH turned up and reminded me he is meant to have Wed arvos off (how am I meant to remember that??? It only actually happens about once every 6 weeks or so...but it is always nice!)  :)
And I had a friend turn up to drop in a chilly bag of cooking for me, so kind, she lives nearly 2hrs away.  :)
And now I am lying on my bed with the computer forum-surfing.  :)

Best of luck with your DS, jakodai - sounds alot like my miss 5, the grommets helped no end.  :)

Be kind to yourself astarra. The windows will still be there when you're up to it.
I'm glad you have friends looking after you.  :-*

You are doing well Astraea.

Jakodal I love grommets. I worked with a paediatric ENT specialist and he did a wonderful job with kids and grommets. a great simple short op with excellent results. Will save you a heap of worry in the long run.  You son will be in good hands and with a specialist anaesthetist he will be awake and running about in no time.  Not to worry. It is all good.

What do you think of the enjo products, Astarra? I've always been interested in them, but never tried them or know anyone who has. I'm very interested in being chemical free, though.

Best of luck with your DS, jakodai - sounds alot like my miss 5, the grommets helped no end.  :)
Thank you - I'm really hoping this fixes all of the problems he's having at the moment.

Thanks, Gert - that makes me feel better. I know it's a simple operation, and it's done a lot, but I've never had it done, and neither has DS. That's why it's scary for me. I'm a little worried about his asthma while he's under anaesthetic, but they know about it so it will all be taken into consideration. It's going to be done at one of the best paediatric hospitals in the country - that's what I keep telling myself!
