Nice to see you belong again Chookie and that the oven worked OK. Youíre onto a good thing with your neighbours and I can see many things from your kitchen being sent over to them.

All the banks have closed around where I live but I can get money from the post office. I took all my coins for the year in before the bank closed but from now on Iíll let the grand-kids have it and they can deal with the problem of finding a bank that takes money.  I believe you have to tip it into a machine that counts it and I canít be bothered finding a branch that has one of those machines. I feel sorry for the oldies who donít do online banking.

I went to the Sailmaster last night with Katie & Richard for our Christmas get together, the menu was very impressive. They even had a section called Small Plates and from there I chose Prawn & Salmon Skewers with rockmelon, cucumber, red onion salad, citrus mayo. I thought it would just be 1 skewer but no there were 2, each with 3 prawns and 3 pieces of salmon and it was much more than I would usually eat.  Prawns and salmon cooked to just how I like it, it went to the top of my list of any of the meals Iíve had out in the last couple of years. Couldnít resist an ice-cream sundae and it was huge, biggest serve of ice-cream Iíve ever seen but I ploughed through it. Another great evening with my friends.

Handing the baton over after competing your years of service to the family Margaret, Iím all for it. Now you can become the kitchen hand to guide your DD through her very first time. I hope it all goes well for her.
