Welcome LEMONGRASS,  hope you have fun on this Forum.

Mushrooms would be nice,  put them in at the end.   The olives give a salty taste ,  so a little stock flavoring might be a good substitute .  The balsamic vin.  I used,  also added a nice touch.  JD I  hope this helps.

Made the Chicken and Olive Braise,  from Meat on the Menu.   Very nice.   Have reviewed it.

JD,  glad you like this recipe.  The pancake recipe in EDC makes so many that it is handy to freeze some for emergencies.  This filling seems to go particularly well with pancakes.  Thought I might fill some, cover them and put in fridge then reheat for tea.

Book....Meat on the Menu

Cooked 1/2 recipe.
Small adjustments made

replaced white wine with Balsamic vin. used 15 mls
Left cap out until all ingredients were added.

End result... flavor 5/5
texture...a bit over cooked,  so next time check at 12 mins.

Would certainly make again.

Cookie,  have a great holiday.   It has just started to rain here,  and the nights are now cold,  we have lit the wood combustion stove so the house is nice and warm.  However to sit by the ocean and read , Paradise.

Jo,  love your kitchen,  you really have it worked out with the appliances.  Like how you can open the window and look out.

JD,  this recipe needed more than just a face lift.  I have used the modify button before,  but this even needed a new name to the post.

Today I have been inspired by Warren's  Sweet Potato Rolls.   I used left over sweet potato, pumpkin and 1 roast potato from last nights roast dinner.  I changed the method a little and mashed the vegies in the THM,  then added the milk and heated on 50 for 2 mins.   Then proceeded as for any yeast bread, ( 3 teasp. dried yeast).  Left to rise in TMX bowl.  They are doing their last rise now and look good ( not as good as yours Warren).

Made fish cakes with left over mashed potato.  I always make the full recipe as I find I can use the remainder in fish cakes,  reheated or to top cottage pie.  Can also use a bit in bread and soup.  There are fish cake recipes posted so I won't post.
