Chookie, you may need to have another forum get together for all those that missed out on tickets to the concer, it would be lovely sitting on your block enjoying the views, good food and music.

Good morning forum friends.  Chookie, you will almost have the best seats in the house sitting out the front overlooking those beautiful ranges without having to put up with the crowds, having a toilet on tap and the kitchen handy for cuppas during the concert.  How good is the clarity of these concerts from out the front and how far away, as the crow flies, is the venue.  I know CC and I saw Hanging Rock on our drive to Daylesford but I can't remember how close it was to your place.

Judy and Wonder,  when the wind is blowing from the north,  it is just like having it in our own back yard.   They open the gates at 2.00 PM for the 8.00 PM concert.  Yes Judy,  much better at home with toilets and food and drink.  It also takes a long time to get out at the end of the concert.

That will be lovely for you Chookie. Just perfect in fact.

You are not going to believe this one. Received our house and contents insurance renewal notice for $2306.17. Last year $1797.

DH has been ringing around just checking. He spoke to Cole's Ins. Who first told him there was no such post code as ours. After much discussion we were offered a low cost insurance policy for the same  as we have for only $10,822. but good news... We could pay by the month for $900. SIGN me up.  NOT!

Gert our insurance for our house went up by $900 this year. I told them to reduce it, or I cancell  8 policies at once.

It worked well.
Had the morning off to go shopping..... :)

Gert I don't know anyone that hasn't had a huge shock when they got their house insurance renewals this year !

Try Commonwealth bank insurance. You don't have to be a Commonwealth bank customer. We shaved $1,000 off our policy last year ...... and pay by the month for no extra fee.  But beware, when they initially quote it doesn't include accidental damage (ie if kids flooded the house) which is a must have for us, but even when added back in was still $1,000 cheaper. Bit left field so though I'd mention it as an option for you.
