Trying a new recipe from Nigel Slater. Chicken legs boned and marinated in Miso, sesame oil, peanut oil and Maple Syrup, then grilled.
Made 5 jars of Lemon and carrot Marmalade. ( posted ). We grew the lemons so wanted to use the entire lemons.
4 loaves of SD in oven. 2 in each long tin.  2 fruit and nut and 2 plain.  All made with Bio Dynamic Wholemeal flour.

K ATIE, did you roast the Kale/ Brussel Sprouts?

Cookie, Ral is mapping your journey ;D he said to congratulate DH for his appointment to the official group doing the overseeing of the restored cars.

The new chicken dish was very nice.  Also very easy if using pre boned chicken thighs.  The Miso in the marinade chars up nicely when grilled and the chicken is moist and tender.
Will post recipe.

Fish fillets tonight and whatever I can scrounge up to go with it.  I haven’t shopped for over 4 weeks, will do so once I’ve gone through the freezer and made a new inventory.  I should end up with a few empty drawers.

Beef casserole and veg for the men.  Soup for me.

Beef and Mushroom Pie. I will make one large one and only put a top on it to reduce fat and calories.

I had no eggs in which to dip the fish so I diluted aioli with milk and that worked a treat, the cheesy crumbs stuck beautifully Denise. I served the 2 pieces of snapper with cauli-au-gratin and a huge jacket potato.

Today I’m having zucchini slice & chips for lunch and soup for tea. I have some stewed quinces for dessert and will make some custard to go with that.

Whilst I’m still finding things to get me through the day I will not go shopping, there is plenty of meat in the freezer but I’m trying to get through all the pre-cooked items.

I have just defrosted the little freezer and as that was getting low I was able to put everything from there into the spare drawers of the upright freezer. Just how long I can leave the small one turned off remains to be seen once I start cooking and buying again but I have been trying for 5 years to turn this one off LOL.

You are doing well without going shopping Judy.  DIL says my freezer looks like I am getting ready for Armageddon.

Tonight DH and DS are having the rest of the beef casserole with chips and vegs, and I'm having a tuna dish.
