I’ve finished using up all the cumquat so, if I see another cumquat I’ll scream!  Being wecolmed wherever I take it though, far too many jars for SIL so I decided to give some away to others.

I converted the dessert to TMX and made it in 6 small pots.  As 4 four are for visitors tomorrow we ate the 2 over for Dinner. I cooked them in a water bath in oven, sprinkled them with sugar and popped under the grill to get the toffee on top.  The cherries were soaked in whiskey.  It is a lovely dessert for a special occasion.  There is not much sugar in it but I’d was perfect. It takes 8 egg yolks.

I made a loaf of bread. DS turned up at lunch with a container of Pulled Pork and BBQ sauce and freshly baked rolls he had made. We had Pulled Pork rolls for lunch. They were so good 😋

I have a loaf of bread in the oven (its 7.20pm) and late today I made some of Tenina's little fruit cakes, that are part steamed and part baked. It was nearly 42 here today so I didn't have the oven on until late.

Cooke,  they look very nice.  Good size in those lovely paper cases.
Will make a loaf of Cookies Vienna bread today.  It is a light loaf and will be good with the ham.
Will also dry brine the turkey, cook it tomorrow and eat it on Tuesday.
Will experiment with Macadamia and honey tarts.   They usually have a filo case but will try with thin puff pastry cases.
Make the custard for the Portuguese Custard Tarts today.

I love reading what you are all doing in this thread.  Everything looks and sounds so nice.  The tarts will be fine Chookie, I made your recipe many years ago using puff pastry.

Yum Chookie.
I made some bread rolls today as my brother and his partner came for lunch. I also made the Pear and Walnut salad. https://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=1683.0
We were going to have one of the cakes heated with custard each for dessert, but we decided we had eaten enough so had coffee with a fruit mince tart each.
I made jellies, custard and cooked eggs and potatoes to make salads tomorrow.

I made Red and Green Shortbread. The recipe is in The Festive Flavour Cookbook or available on Cookidoo.
I didn’t have white chocolate so I used the dark chocolate I already had in my cupboard.

Nice baking everyone.

I was up early this morning to avoid the heat in the kitchen.  I have made Cauliflower & Cheese sauce, a tomato & onion dish, another trifle, a toblerone cheesecake and peeled some of the vegetables for tomorow.  I must remember to get the Christmas pudding out of the freezer.  Just sitting back now and having a break.

No Christmas cooking for me but I had a piece of silverside that had to be cooked by the 26th and I was running out of time. I’ve had it for 2 weeks!  It was my lunch for today.
