I still haven't made this but it is on the menu plan for this week. I love the sound of it.

Bumping this recipe:  after forgetting about it for a long time, we had this for dinner tonight.  We all loved it, served with a simple salad.  And heaps of left-overs for another night!

Thanks Maddy and thanks to your Mum for a yummy recipe  :-*

Does everyone use sausage mince, can you use beef mince instead?

I was thinking about that tonight Judy - also wondering if I could use chicken mince??  Maybe next time I will try it with mince instead.

I've not made this - but for other dishes I often substitute pork mince for sausage mince ( as I don't like sausage mince). I'm sure either chicken or beef mince would work.

You could always buy some nice sausages and squeeze them out of their skins.

Passed this over, the title didn't turn me on, but had a look and oh Yeh this sounds ok, had it for dinner tonight, lovely . DP loved it, I used about 400gs minced meat and just two sausages squeezed out of skins , also added a turnip and parsnip and one egg.  We will have the left overs tomorrow cold for lunch, we are going for a drive along the Grand Ridge Rd ,
