I made shortcrust pastry then rolled it out to make Quiche Lorraine.
It was cold out walking Chance this morning so made Amy's Winter Banana  Smoothie for my breakfast when I returned.
Soaking some dried fruit in brandy to make Kimmy fruit cake again ;D

I must do Amy's winter smoothie again too now that it's colder here, we forget these recipes until someone bumps them.  Thanks Denise.

Like the sound of having a warm smoothie on these cold days :)

Our mornings aren't cool enough for warm breakfasts yet. I'm still only wearing a T shirt.
I must check out Kimmy's fruit cake. It sounds perfect to take away.

I have searched and goggled and generally wasted time. Please can someone point me to Kimmy's fruit cake recipe?

I can't find it for you either cookie but I'm sure someone has made it and can tell us it's correct name perhaps.

Thanks Judy. When we find it we will have to put it somewhere obvious. (it probably already is) When I have lunch I will go back and look through these posts.

Thanks Chookie and Kimmyh for the Anzac help; will try the double cooking method and I must admit I have been cutting right back on the sugar so hope that is not my problem.

Must try those muffins from TRTLMT; made their apple cake the other day after seeing it here and it was very nice; made some custard to have with it as DH said it needed something and he doesn't like cream.

I made a big pot of chicken soup this morning, it's been  a while since I've not used the TMX for  soup making but I never seem to have much time to cook these days so 12 serves instead of 6 was the way to go.

No problem CC. I discovered lots of other things I wanted to make along the way.
I've had a bit of a cook in today. I made a curry to take away, bread for now, nuts and bolts to take away, Graneusli  and I have Kimmy's fruit cake soaking. I am pooped now. It has been fun though.

My apologies for not posting the recipe properly. I've fixed that and it's now typed up under the topic you created cookie.
