Thanks Chookie, Kimmy and Katie for the tips...
I made the no fuss rolls last weekend, for proofing,  I heated the oven at 175 deg for 20sec and placed my covered bowl in it..
Fortunately it rose to double and was really nice, but will surely try your tips for even colder days..

Thanks Chookie for sharing, that seems easy and delicious :)
I thought I will spend less time cooking once I get the TMX, but looks like I am spending more time trying to cut down on every processed food we buy
and also making such wonderful treats ;)

Thank you Judy :) Didnt know you can use powdered milk in painting ;)
I think I will make condensed milk out of it..

I had to use up a tin of evaporated milk and I made Chookie's Chocolate Delight, its sitting in the fridge, looks so tempting.... hubby had to continuously stop me as I was trying to eat it even before it was set...http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=2356.0

Woowww, Thank you so much all, I will have a look at all and am very keen on making my own from now on :)

Probably a stupid question, but what is the difference between vanilla paste and vanilla extract?
I probably think it is the intensity... but not sure...

Chit Chat / Where do you buy vanilla beans from?

Today I had to buy vanilla extract and I didn't realize how much I always spent on it, it was 11$ at woolies for a small bottle...  :o

And as I am making more and more homemade muffins, banana bread, etc. will be using more of it..

I remember a thread about you guys making your own using vanilla beans..
So was curious to know where exactly do you buy the vanilla beans and also please suggest a good recipe for making one!!

Thanks in advance :)
