That’s sad Margaret, hoping the results aren’t as bad as you’re expecting.

That is an amazing motorhome cookie, what adventures you will have in that! You must have some very special trips in mind to go down that track.
Chookie I didn’t know that about stone fruit but I must say they don’t taste the same as they did in ‘the good old days’ when everyone had fruit trees. I’ve tried a few pieces of them but a lot of the time they aren’t sweet enough for me, plums, apricots and peaches so far fitting this bill. Peaches and nectarines sometimes ripen OK but often do not.  A nice trip away with the family sounds good to me.
I had my monthly cancer check-up yesterday, all good there. I took my recent hearing test results to my specialist for his opinion, it looks like hearing aids is the only option so he gave me the paperwork and wrote a letter to pass on to them. He had a laugh when I told him I’d be having my cataracts done by the end of this month - he enlikened my planned procedures to having a car serviced.

I feel for you cookie, your temperatures over there are horrid. So are you going to swap the caravan for a motor home?

That’s great Marina, something special every now and then no doubt.

I made half quantity of this Mushroom Pate recipe https://culinaryginger.com/mushroom-pate/ but it wasn’t as tasty as the liver pate I tried at DD’s place recently. These tubs will be frozen and added to soup at some stage down the track.

It’s certainly a great ‘soft food’ recipe Margaret, mine’s in the freezer for my daughter.
Marina, I should have learnt by now what I can and can’t eat!

Spot on Marina.

Looking through the vegetable section of our forum yesterday and decided to do a veggie curry which I had done and enjoyed a long time ago https://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=15029.0. I cut the curry powder from 1 T to 1 tspn but it was still too strong for me so I was unable to eat it. My specialist did tell me I wouldn’t be able to eat spicy food, he is always right !

I’m sure you’re happy to be back in your own kitchen and totally inspired with some new ideas Chookie. How did your weight go, some people come back quite a few kilos heavier.

What a great place to be on New Year’s Eve Chookie. I’m so envious of your experience but if anyone deserved such a wonderful upgrade it was definitely you.

I agree, the first anniversary of everything can be painful and it’s OK to feel sadness, if you didn’t then that person didn’t mean much to you. Thank goodness for our families and friends who are always there for us. xx Chookie

My daughter would love that Chookie. I bet that’s not the only idea you’ve come home with.
