I’ve been watching the news and the snow over everyone’s way. It looks cold.

Cookie, yes it is cold, very cold. 1 degree with frost at 8 am.
Good day for baking.
Severe lockdown now on and people are worried about their jobs. There is also concern about food , especially fresh fruit and veg as well as meat and poultry. People are depressed as no relief in sight.  They keep saying the numbers will come down but they keep going up. The 5 to 12 day lag in showing symptoms is difficult to cope with.
We really feel for families with children. I Still remember the war and post war rationing.  I think this  builds resilience.  Maybe this virus will do the same for this generation.

My DM was talking the other day how tough it was for her mum during and after the war . Kids will realise that they cannot have everything straight away . This time will pass infact 6 weeks is much shorter than lockdown 1.

We are apparently in for a lot of rain in the next few days. I think as we drive in
And for our 4 day break will leave some of it behind.

It’s been very hot these past few days here in the U.K.
I hate the cold. Stay warm and safe everyone.

Enjoy your break away Cookie.

Nice that you are experiencing some warm weather CC.

We have had lots of rain and wind today, that is set to continue for the next few days. On a good note our dam levels are 79.2% capacity. We are still on water restrictions because we are sending water down to the central coast.

We had heaps of rain on Sunday. Our water restrictions will be in pla e until the end of August. DH and I drove through the rain to a place called Wubin.

We drove about 6km out and camped at a free camp called Wubin Rocks. It was freezing and with no electricity we couldn’t have the heater on. It was still fun though.

Looks very dry Cookie. Sad when townships die out and the school closes down. There was a nice looking pub in the link. Is that still there?

Good morning everyone, I’ve been absent from the forum for a while now due to a serious health problem but I’m home after 2 weeks in hospital and gaining strength each day.  I have a very good friend staying with me this week and she makes sure I do the right thing. A long road ahead but by the end of the year I’m hoping to feel as normal as I’m ever going to.  I hope you are all doing well yourselves.
