Waving from across the ditch.
« on: May 08, 2015, 10:07:25 pm »
I have had my thermomix TM5 since February and am loving it.   It is the perfect stable mate for two Philips air fryers.   These machines have changed the face of cooking and shopping in my house.

When I am not cooking, I am a wife, mother and grandmother.  Interested in water, oil and acrylic painting and bookmending.

Welcome Liz.  Many of us here also have AF which certainly complement our TMX.  Hope you find plenty of ideas and recipes here.

Hi Liz, welcome to the forum.  I'm another one with both machines and I agree wholeheartedly with you about the benefits of having both.  Enjoy your time on here.

I envy anyone who can paint, it's funny how both my daughters are good at it - they certainly didn't take after me  ;D

Welcome Liz. It's lovely to have you join us. I agree about the air fryer, I'm also guilty of owning a Pasta Machine which I love.

Thanks for the lovely welcome.   Funny you should mention the pasta machine.   Only this week I have been toying with the idea of getting one.  I did ask in a Facebook group how many had bought machines and still used them and the answer was not encouraging.   What say you?   Are they a worthwhile investment?     We don't eat an awful lot of pasta but I am really into the homemade basic food groove these days.  The thermomix makes this so easy.

We don't really eat a lot of pasta but have bought a pasta machine. I love it. I now make sure we have pasta once a week. There are so many different ways to have it. The machine also does noodles so they are useful for stir fry.  I've also made soba noodles with it which are lovely. My machine is a Philips. We really enjoy the fresh pasta.

Liz I use my Phillips pasta maker at least twice a week,  as Cookie says, noodles in stir fry as well as pasta and lasagne,  my DD calls in for a double quantity every week . I have a manual machine which really turned me off fresh pasta it was a pain to use.  Next on my list is prawn ravioli.

Hi liz and welcome. I don't have an airfryer but I do have the pasta maker. I use it at least twice a week too. My DH often makes the pasta whilst I do something in the thermomix. My sons love using it too.

Thanks again for the warm welcome.  I can see you lot are going to be a very bad influence on me.   I was leaning toward the pasta machine and I think I felt a little push in the comments.  ;)
