I have the filling for some steak, bacon and vegetable pies in the SC.  Hope to make the pies tomorrow.

Cookie, your bread looks good, what a shame the taste was not to your liking.

Obbie, I love pea and ham soup and good for the cold weather we are having.

No cooking here by me as we were on a car run. DD made some chocolate muffins.

Yesterday, cooked 3 new recipes.
SD crumpets made with malted  grain.  Nice flavour but a bit heavy. Will modify recipe.
I bought a very large chicken which I cut in half. I made 2 new recipes and baked both in oven at same time.
Ate this one yesterday.  Adam Liaw Chicken on potato’s and topped with bacon. Replaced the garlic with oyster mushrooms .  This is a lovely dish and will make again. Published in the Age Good Food.
The second one is from a Low Carb book by Annie Bell. An English cook. Again baked chicken with eggplant. Will reheat and have today.

The soup looks good Judy.  Just right for this cold weather.

Today's baking is 1 large meat, bacon & vegetable pie, 4 small square pies using the same mixture (I only had 1 sheet each of puff and shortcrust pastry left which is why they are square) and 6 small pizzas, 2 eaten for lunch.

Delicious l ooking food from everyone. I'm doing my usual Monday breads. I included a Potato bread this time as DH was wondering what it would be like.

I’m pleased with it Judy. It is a recipe from Tenina.

Certainly much more tasty than my Cookidoo loaf.

Mab, the pies look nice.
Cookie, interesting recipe.  I usually use leftover cooked mashed potato in potato bread.
Your loaf looks very nice.
Of the above chicken recipes , we enjoyed both.  Would make both again.
Today chicken veggie soup and custard for Portuguese Custard tarts.

I made Vegetable Stock Paste and a batch of Sweet Chilli Sauce. Steamed some Jersey Royal Potatoes to make a potato salad.
