Stupid question maybe but do I use whipping cream or thickened cream. What is the difference between them?

Yeah I taped it too! Got a few minute rap with sorbet being made. If you had never seen one before I am not sure if you would "get it" though

Chit Chat / Market Stall Ideas
« on: September 26, 2010, 08:15:34 am »
Hi everyone

I have recently moved to a beautiful little country town in WA. They have a market on here once a month and the same at a few of the surrounding towns. A lot of the ladies seem to sell homemade jams, lemon butters and the likes. I was thinking I might like to start a little stall myself and spice things up a little with the aide of my thermo! It won't make me much money I know, but it would be a good little hobby that if I can get enough confidence in doing I think I might enjoy, especially making up a label and some product infor, recipe idea sheets etc.

Some ideas so far include Tikka Paste, Dukkah, Spice Rubs. Just hoping for ideas from others as to what they have found works/doesn't work, ideas for products, prices, legalities, where to buy jars etc.

Thanks, Katherine

Ohhh yes, great ideas, keen for more seeming a Thermomix is new to me this year. I am constantly raving to my family and friends about it so they would probably enjoy some homemade gifts. Looking forward to seeing more bright gifting ideas soon.

Anyhow at least I have learnt a bit as one day I would have tried and tried to go ahead with the plans - but take out pizza it was!!!!!! I now must realise to SLOW down a bit too!  The curry is on the menu for tonight (just us) minus the sides. Will do the whole Indian buffet thing as a  houewarming I guess!!!

Recipe Requests / All Bran Loaf - Anyone have a good recipe?
« on: July 31, 2010, 12:55:35 pm »
Hi all

As a child I remember my dad cooking a loaf with all bran. Anyone have a good recipe for this using TM? If I recall correctly it might also have had dates in it?

Any other healthy slices, loaves, muffins, biscuits also appreciated. My love of Thermomix is making me fat so have recently joined weight watchers!!!

Thanks, Katherine

At our local Farmers Market on Saturday and bought a lovely datey muslie kind of slice. It was very very soft and not baked. My one and a half year old loved it. Any ideas ladies on a recipe? She said oates, dates, honey.... not sure what else. It seems fairly similar but it was so soft and like I said uncooked! Hints apreciated.
