Good morning everyone.
Perth will be having mid to high 30's for at least the next week. We can't complain as we really have not had a hot Summer.
Chookie, glad to hear arm is getting better. We should never underestimate the healing powers of salt water. An oldie but a goodie.

Good news on your arm Chookie.
A very hot day in Perth today (40). We went for our walk at 6am to beat the heat. The only outing we will have today is to the pool here in the village. Happy to lay low with the air-con.
Denise your storm sounded rather frightening, I hope not too much damage was done.

Chookie, your Apple Jelly looks beautiful. What a practical lovely gift from your DD.
I made the Non-fried Fried Rice from RC. I used the Brown Basmati rice and it was very nice. It cooks just as quickly as the White, but is drier not gluggy. I did some chicken lovely legs in the oven and Chinese green veg (Kai lan) stir fried in Thermo.

Hi everyone, a cool start to the morning here, it definitely has an Autumy feel about it, although we are going to have 3 to 4 hot days now, followed by a drop back to the mid 20's for a few days. We can't complain, not after the extreme flooding and fires some ppl have experienced.
Enjoy your market Chookie.
We are going to visit the GK's, DH has a few little jobs lined up over there, like removing training wheels off the bike, fixing a scooter. SIL not very handy, he does do the ironing though which DD doesn't so I guess it evens out to a degree. Lol

Astarra, your Gingerbread trifles sound delicious, I actually saw that recipe at Christmas time and had it shortlisted, but didn't get around to making it.
I'm sure your visitors will enjoy it.
Nice looking loaves Chookie, it must be hard having the oven going in your hot weather.

I made the Silverbeet & Mushroom quiche with Oat & Parmesan crust from the Everyday Cooking for Thermomix families. It is so delicious. I served it with a salad.

Hello everyone, I hope you have all had a good start to the weekend.
It seems as though the crazy weather is the major topic of discussion lately. It's as though our east & west coast have done a swap. I hope we have some more warm to hot weather soon otherwise I am going to feel ripped off.

Perth is having the strangest Summer. Today 20 forecast with rain and possible storm. Rain forecast for most of the coming week. I have been looking at slow cooker recipes, crazy!

Tonight will be Quirky Cooking's Beef Stroganoff. Very quick to put together and tasty. It is served on Cabbage noodles, steamed in Varoma while strog is cooking.

Astarra your youngest will probably be a little lonely when the older girls go back this week. I'm sure she will enjoy some 1 on 1 time with you though.

Your finger looks nasty Judy, grater wounds are very sore indeed!
I find I need to concentrate more these days when cooking, there is always too many things occupying our minds at once and it can lead to accidents like yours, do take care.

Interesting Chookie. We will look out for it when the weather clears in a couple of days.
In the meantime we are enjoying a wet and cool change.

Yes, my DD appreciates my baking, as do the GK's. Even when the youngest (2  1/2) woke up grumpy from his nap and saw nanna's muffibs it put him in a better mood.
