Have a great day everyone.
Robyn, bet you're glad to have the renos completed. Enjoy your new bathroom.
Chookie, your Cresswick market sounds great, when we stayed in a Melbourne a few weeks back DS took us to a farmers market in a place called Ayrly (I may have the spelling wrong). It was very impressive!
The one thing that I still think about was the fresh Walnuts from a local farmers trees. So fresh and creamy tasting.

CC I hope your local a Food Fair continues to grow, 'tis always nice to stroll around and see what's on offer.
Chookie, I think that deal with the Beehives is great! And to get fresh raw honey for yourselves is a good thing. We all need bees.

When we shifted over a year ago, I culled quite a lot of cook books but am slowly but surely refilling the gaps in the bookcase.
I have the new Fab Flavours on every level, I got it right before we went to Tassie, and since being back I really haven't had much time to go through it. I do love Louise Keats new book (been out for a little while) called Sweet Nourish. Louise also has the book Something For Everyone which I love.

We had Syrian Chicken (from here), served over wholemeal couscous with Broccolini and beans.

Your Za'atar mix looks delicious Chookie, I love bits of bread dunked in OO then into a spice mix. Your bread looks amazing as usual.
Cookie how was your Apple & Spice loaf? It sounds yummy!
Happy cooking everyone.

Lovely photo CC. Rain forecast for Perth today. Much needed so we can't complain.
Welcome back home Cookie, well done on the walking, treadmill obviously helping, and it's nice to have it for when it rains and you can't get out and walk.
Have a great weekend everyone! A long weekend in Perth.

CC it's nice to see you have a warm day to enjoy. Hope it warms up for a great Summer.
Judy, what a game of football last night, sorry Port couldn't pull off a win, I had backed them in the tipping comp.
We are in a Melbourne now after our 10 days in Tassie. Staying with youngest DS, DIL and 4 y.o GS for 4 nights before heading back to aperture on Sunday night.
A bit gloomy in Melbs today.
I hope everyone has a lovely day.

MacGuffin, I have made The Mexican Stack from this book about 4 times.
It is absolutely beautiful, although if you like more spice, add some chilli powder. The filling can be made ahead of time and assembled closer to the time you want to cook it. It also reheats really well the next day if there's any left.

I hope everyone has had a good start to the week.
Still in Tassie and whilst it is cold the sun is shining. DH and I walked the 6km loop around Dove lake today (it is at the foot of Cradle Mountain.) spectacular scenery.

DH and I spent 3 hours at Salamanca markets in Tassie. I bought some Chilli/kaffir lime salt rub (Tassie sea salt), and a small jar of Pepperberry &sea salt rub. Some yummy Creamed Leatherwood honey, Salted caramel popcorn dipped in chocolate (DH picked that ) 3 packets of different nuts (soy, sesame almonds)Honeyed macadamias and Caramel cashews, all to take to DS in Melbs on our way home to Perth. I bought a biggish colourful bag made from recycled fabric strips, a scarf. We bought a small picture for our wall as a memento of our trip. It's a row of birds carved from local wood. DH bought some woollen socks. I'm sure there's things I've forgotten.
We are now comfortably settled in our B&b looking at a replay of DH's dash cam footage. We had to swerve to miss a wombat running across the road today. You can clearly see him running across in front of us. Yesterday we saw a Lyre bird crossing in front of us while driving thru a forest area.

Hello everyone, DH and I are having a wonderful time in Tasmania. I don't know why we've waited so long to get here. It truly is a magnificent place! We allowed 10 days, but not going to be enough, we are already talking about coming back sometime.
