Favourite Recipes saved in book or folder
« on: April 16, 2010, 10:19:43 am »
:) Hi, is there any way to save favourite recipes here into your own folder.

for example, like on taste.com.au
you can save recipes, and file into sections, example,
main meals, chocolate, cakes, slices, soups etc.

I love this site, and use it daily, just an idea.

thanks,

Robyn

Master Moderator may be able to ask his friends in high places to sort something out.  We weren't able to print out recipes easily until somebody asked

Thanks MM  :-* :-*

As the site grows, having favourites and maybe some option to flag recipes to try would be great!

I have a system for my TMX recipes and I don't recommend it. I have bits in files everywhere.  When I see a recipe I want to make I print it and it goes into a file. I then see it a few days later and print it again and so on. The file is ginormous! After I have made the dish I photograph it and transfer the recipe to a more organised file and put a print of the photo onto it.

Certainly not saving the trees. Half the time I can't find the recipe I want and print it off again. The only ones I can find easily are the tried and true ones.

Any help gratefully received, such as storing the recipes within the forum.

Cookie, that is one of the beauties of the recipe software.  But if you don't want to go down that track, you could just copy the text into a word document and then print them as you want to make them instead of in advance.  Then once made, tweak any changes or notes, add the photo and then print.

There doesn't seem to be any facility to store recipes within the forum.

I used to do that Cathy and then spent time printing them, or was in a rush and didn't have time or even worse DD was on the computer and as it is hers I try not to barge in too often. It was when she was doing her Masters that I changed my method of saving recipes. It's messy but at the moment controllable. Thanks.

ROFL!!  Cookie, your system sounds like mine! The print offs pile up, then have someone coming over, so I quickly gather them all and tuck them away somewhere then do it all over again!  Started sorting through some clutter the other day and couldnt believe the number of piles of recipes I found from the forum  :-)) :o
