Oh Mab, I feel for you. I pop my shelves in the dishwasher and then scrub them in the sink. The dish washer softens anything that’s stuck to them.
Still unpacking.
Ral has finished the shelves in the garage. Now I can place my appliances where I can see them.

It has turned quite cold here. Not complaining.
Yesterday collected another lot from storage. More stuff for Vinnies I think. The storage unit is now 3/4 empty.
Joiner coming tomorrow to measure up the shelves for drawers and look at turning a bedroom into a library/ study. I can’t reach the back of the shelves and can’t find ingredients when I want to cook. I want to use the TMX 6 more but don’t want to start experimenting until I can easily find ingredients. My consultant said she will come and get me started again.
Also got the name of a picture hanger. Big decisions to be made as to what to keep and hang and what to discard.

The pictures are a hard decision Chookie. Friends couldn't decide so they did an entire wall of their living area with pictures and photos. It suited them and their house.

Good idea Cookie. Thought I might do something similar with family photos. The original watercolours are a problem as they can’t be hung where any strong light will fade them.

A crazy week , started by dentist visit to final crown appointment, DD drove most of the trip as I had slight vertigo , DS back to boarding his final year ! Afternoon tea there a huge shop late home to feed DH DD in paddock. Early trip in for Year 12 meeting farewell for their retreat and home five minutes to then go with GF to bookclub. Friday collected DS after a zillion little jobs done at shops .on to harvest cut out that night . We still have lupin to get off ! Challenge now is DH has had DS as his right hand man , now DS has to get his homework done and let DH know that school work is the first priority. All good . Been so so cold too.

I’m still suffering heat fatigue. Hot and humid here today.
We watched the Perth Scorchers win the cricket last night.

It's been so cold here that we had to light the heater.

I caught up with the ironing today.

Still cool. Lovely.
DD was training anew lot of paddlers this morning. We had breakfast in the Boat Shed Restaurant next door and watched with interest. Great fun. DS came up from Melb and did a few jobs. Very grateful. Feel like we are starting to catch up.

We have had the heaters on flat out ( DD does feel the cold too) . Chookie I believe the rowing Regatta was on also . Great you are catching up with all the jobs . Squeezed in a moment to read amongst washing cooking and general tidy up . DS drove back to boarding ( we always have a big chat on these drives ) and I did a small shop even saw a few friends doing the same . Home late .

We had our monthly coffee morning with car club members. We were to pick up our new Model A but the gentleman we are buying it from wanted to try and drive it one last time. The poor darling couldn't. He, with DH to guide and help tried many times to get into the driving seat, but he couldn't. It was so sad to watch. We have paid for it and the licensing and insurance are all done in our name. He hopes to be able to part with it on one of the next two weekends. I think he wants his daughter to be there to support him.

Gosh that’s a bit of a problem cookie, I hope the handover isn’t too far away. He’s obviously so attached to it.

He is Judy. His Dad bought the car new in 1930. Sadly neither of his sons are at all interested in it’s history or anything.
