Title: Hi from Horsham!
Post by: Sharon1 on February 27, 2011, 08:19:13 am
Hi from another Thermomix newbie!  I got my new toy yesterday and I am amazed at how much fun cooking with it is!  We enjoyed Lattes for brekkie, and potato Rostis with beef burgers for dinner, then I ad-libbed and added fresh fruits to a small bit of leftover icecream and voila - I had enough dessert for three of us to enjoy...tastier too!
Thanks to everyone who has posted tips and recipes on the forum, as this made my decision to purchase one so much easier!
Cheers
Sharon

Thanks everyone.  I have had so much fun today...surfing the net for recipes and experimenting.  I made 'steamed' eggs for lunch in the varoma, and then whipped up a yummy stickydate pudding, and made  fried rice from Quirky Cooking's webpage...Thumbs up from my family!

Thanks everyone!  I am having so much fun cooking!  My DH was a bit skeptical about the machine at first...but he is now raving to his friends about why they need to get one!!
Yesterday alone I made tomato relish from the recipes on this site..did extra chopped veg to go in homemade suasage rolls, made a sticky date pudding (so delicious!) and made a dessert that was sort of like a sorbet / fruity dream - a great way to get my DH to eat fresh fruit without realizing it!!  As you can tell - I am very happy with my TMX!

We can certainly tell you are one happy chappy Sharon  :D :D   How good is it when the men do the raving as well - hope he manages to talk someone else into buying one.

My husband came to the demonstation I ordered my TMX from (more to have a beer with my friend's husband than to watch the demonstration) and he was the driving force behind me buying it. I was a little caught up with the cost initially but now that I have had it for a while I know I would pay more for it. I am about to have a demonstration and my husband's raving has 4 people lined up asking for invites. I have had to explain to him that we can't have too many and as I have already told my friends I will now have to have 2 demonstrations. Oh well - don't you just love them!!  :)

Yes, you gotta just love 'em. My DH is always telling everyone about the wonderful German cooking machine we have. He doesn't even know how to turn it on.............but he can now turn it off. :)
