I've got the XL and depending if I'm cooking for 1 or 2 I will add as much as I can to be cooked at varying stages ie. a chop/steak, serve chips, 1-2 garlic bread slices whilst making a little salad for the side. Its not the cheapest appliance but it is good does get a lot of use. I haven't regretted getting the larger size over the smaller one. I must make something from the recent App I downloaded as there are some good looking recipes there that look very easy.

Gert I have the XL and can only fit two schnitzels in it. Annoying. But probably the perfect size for two. Couldn't imagine a smaller one!

INAID, have you tried layering schnitzels and rotating the part way through? When I saw the infomercial on TVSN I thought it was possible to layer and just about fill the basket...maybe you could use baking paper to separate the layers then remove part way through once the crumb has firmly attached itself :)

I cooked our Honey Chicken in the AF tonight. Very nice.

Ive read a couple of FB comments from owners of the New wave AF, they are really happy with theirs, so maybe another option and it's more like the Philips one with the pull out drawer

Here's a link with a reduced price but I see it's not free http://www.oo.com.au/New-Wave-Air-Fryer-800g-Capa_P202813.cfm?cm_mmc=Google-_-PLA-_-HomeGardenPets-_-AppliancesWhitegoods&CAWELAID=730008540000342670&CAGPSPN=pla&gclid=CNfNw6LFib8CFQpwvAodqQcAQg

I just had a look at that site and the new wave air fryer is 800 gms so the same size as the small phillips one.   Still waiting until I get back from holidays to decide on one.
