It worked out well for us all,she didn't need nor want anything more than her license so win,win for us ;D
Whats on your list for your 18th Amy?
We are stumped for DD's 21st next year it gets harder because they start buying everything they want themselves  :-))

I don't actually have a list suzanne.... I'm just hoping my mum will come up with something awesome ;D Its a bit scary because the year seems to have gone so fast :o
At least you still have a few months of this year to think about DD's 21st ;)

This is a bit late but I was so happy to have a dishwasher on the weekend. This is the first time I've had a dishwasher and we had guests over on the weekend. I had a whole pile of dishes to wash after 3 courses (and there were only 5 adults) so it was so good to put them all in the dishwasher while I washed the pots and pans. Such a relief! This was a big deal for me ...can you tell??!

I certainly can tell Tasty! ;D And I'm sure I would feel the same as you because I have never used a dishwasher. All our dishes at home are washed by hand in a single sink :P

Congratulations on your dishwasher!! ;D ;D ;D

I can understand how grateful you were to finally have a dishwasher Tasty. I never had one in my life until we renovated the kitchen here and my DD2 and her DH wanted to buy us one.  I protested but in the end she won out.  I am now on my second one and it is one item I would not be without now.

Not sure if I am happy about this or not....but here goes.
I wasn't home for dinner as I had a toastmasters function.  Came home and noticed lid of TMX off,  NOT how I left it.  Now for those of you who don't know,  my DH has been anti TMx since I got it and thinks it is just another kitchen gadget.

I then asked him if he had been using it, he replied yes.....well it's only a blender so I made some paste!!!!

This worries me as he has not had any instruction at all  and I am concerned he will break it and it won't be covered under warranty.....or should I be pleased that he has tried to bond with TMX while I have been out????

Mmm, I think I would rather be supervising when he used it GHM.  Very strange state of affairs, what sort of paste did he make?  A glue type paste or an edible paste?  I wonder what prompted him to use it for the very first time.

Have fun getting your car Amy  ;D ;D

25 hours is crazy you could do that in a couple of months, glad I don't drive in WA it sounds like there is a lot of inexperienced drivers  :o :o

Thanks Yvette ;D The hardest part is going to be taking the money from my nana.... I know she really wants to help, and I really appreciate it, but its a lot of money for an elderly couple on a pension :-\ I will pay her back with interest though ;)

I probably could do 25 hours in a couple of months, but I still have to have the log book for 6 months :P

I would say there are more reckless drivers than inexperienced drivers >:(

Happy :D
