Very slippery walking this morning and of course taking care not to go AOT :D :D

That was one of my Mum's sayings (haven't heard her say it for a long time now though), so funny reading it from you though  :D
It's used a lot in house Judy :D :D

Good morning everyone. I'm off out to lunch with friends today so will enjoy that more than your trip to the dentist Robyn.  Best of luck with your tooth.

That is not good obbie.

Here is a good ental story.

Imhave been going to the James Cook Uni school of dentistry sich it opened  teo years ago. It is totally free to health card  oeners and others pay a nominal fee. They do everything from cleaning to dentures with over 100 state of the art cubicals in a lovely location where you can see into the rainforest. It is light bright and the students come from all over the world to attend because there is nothing like it anywhere else.  My first student   was a local nurse and mother of two. As a third year  she looked after me until she graduated. Durning that time she had another child and is now working in a practise owned by her husband so of course he was very supportive of her.

My new student is a young Canadian Married mad who came out under a recipricol arrangement and he pays $45,000 a year up front. He has to support himself but as they are on student visas they can each work only $20 hours a week. They have to pay rent  live frugually and make do. This is a five year course so they are doing it with some help and support of both their parents.

He is getting a first class education which is, in his words, superior to that which he could get in his province.  He was very personable, well read, completely competant , enthuisatic  and most respectful. Not only that but he was most appreciative to have been given the opportunity to study here. He expects no handouts from anyone and does not think the taxpayers should pay for his nor anyone's tertiery education.  He worked hard in highschool doing several jobs to save the money for uni and his parents had a bank account for him where they also contributed to his education fund as they did with all their children.

I was just called in for my 6 monthly checkup and he saw there wa s a gap between my gum and tooth restoration so he asked the professor  if he could build it up to save me constantly flossing and  rinsing the gap which can be a problem sometimes especially when dining out. She said go for it so another appointment coming and then a thorough clean again.

This place is so good that when it was shut for hols and. I had. Problem I was told to come immediately. The head of school  made me a crown in about 20 minutes and no charge. Thank  you very much.

They treat everyone from the Torres Strait to Townsville and as far west as needs be.

Great to be on that list Gert, I wonder if other states have the same deal.

I think there's a similar thing with hair and beauty students at TAFE colleges.
