I do a fricasee using fresh chicken breasts & has broad beans, carrots and potato slices in it & was wondering how to convert it for the TMX. I think I would steam the potatoes & chicken separately (or leave the potatoes out altogether if serving on rice) then the frozen beans and carrots could be added to the bechamel sauce with the chicken. Nice one willmac, thanks for posting and giving me another idea.

It wouldn't be too strong if you just used spinach though would it Chookie?

Have to get rid of the last of the Christmas ham this week so for lunch today I made the steamed omelette in the varoma from Thermomixer's blog. Onto the wet baking paper on the varoma tray I put 120g of left-over garlic, oil & chilli pasta, topped it with 70g diced ham and 1/4 cup chopped parsley. I beat 5 eggs and 50g milk in the TMX on speed 4 for 20 seconds and poured that over the other ingredients. Didn't need any extra flavourings or cheese because the pasta has so much flavouring on it's own. Placed the tray on top of the varoma dish, put 600mls boiling water in the TM bowl and set the varoma into place. Cooked it for 10 minutes on Varoma temperature on speed 2. We are not big eaters here so I am now left with left-overs from left-overs as 1/4 each with salad was enough for us. See Thermomixers original recipe here - http://thermomix-er.blogspot.com/2009/04/frittata-in-varoma.html

Have fixed the marmalade, now a lovely consistency. Added 1 jar of water to the 3.5 jars I had and cooked it on 100 o for 10 minutes. Thanks Chookie, don't know why I don't think of these ideas myself

Kahlua or Tia Maria would work as that's what I use when I do normal tiramisu.

I was going to say the same thing Thermomixer. I also do not stock Amaretti so googled for a substitute and came up with orange juice flavoured with a little almond essence which I have.
Looks good isi, thanks for the posting. I love bite-sized little morsels like these.

Why not Cookie1? We all do and none of us have ended up in prison yet I spent a whole day on the forum printing out recipes from one site when our forum was quiet so I have heaps of recipes to post this year.

I have more use for a pudding than a cake Trudy so that suits me right down to the ground. The fact that it freezes well is handy too - a quick dessert for unexpected visitors. I need to empty the freezer out a bit before I can do this one though.

Nice to hear you are on top again Amanda - the festive season has been and gone now though so you will have a long wait until next year. Great kick-start for losing weight though
