Christmas greetings to all our Forum friends. Hope you have a relaxing day with good company and food. It is the only time this year that our entire immediate family will be together.
Our new neighbours, our GP and lovely wife and their 2 young boys, seem to have adopted us as substitute grandparents. They gave us Christmas gifts .

What lovely and thoughtful neighbour kids you have Chookie.

I have finished the trifle, I got DH to do most of the pie so I have only got to put the pastry on top then cook the potatoes later today.  Just a light meal as our neighbours were at their big family Xmas lunch so won't be wanting much to eat tonight.

Best to you all for a wonderful Xmas day - enjoy every minute of it.

That is wonderful Chookie.
We had a quiet lunch, just the 3 of us. Spoke to my brothers this morning. One of them is coming for lunch tomorrow. DD is working tomorrow.

Our meat selection for lunch.
Salads. We put it all on the bench and sit at the small table.

Thank full the weather has changed , now a lot cooler than yesterday’s 38-39. Boys out harvesting till very late home at 2pm . DS worked 17 hours , that’s crazy and I was a little concerned but he did hop off the harvester and do other jobs for awhile . I have a no tolerance policy to DS working long hours believe me . Thankful too DD reported that they all stopped to have his paddock  dinner delivery on the back of the ute . Time out is so important too .

KAtie, I agree, that is a worry working such long hours on big machinery. Hope he is in an air/con cabin.
The heat has affected my eye drops so will have to go to chemist this morning and replace them.
Happy New Year to all lovely Forum members.

Each week we go to the storage unit and select several boxes to unpack. Yesterday I  unpacked 12 tea infusers. Will keep 2, the rest to op shop.
Still lots of clearing out to do. Slowly getting used to our new home. I’m gardening in pots. Have tomatoes, Zucchini, herbs, beans and lettuce growing. Quite a challenge.

It must be fun going through those boxes and choosing what stays and what goes Chookie. I’m sure your pot garden will be fine, it didn’t take you long to get it started.

Have you had any luck with your air con Chookie?  Can one of the services (SES perhaps - although I am not sure that that is an appropriate service in this instance) help as air con could be construed as being necessary for Ral's (and your) health and well being.  Can your friendly neighbour / doctor help with contacts?
