I have made this a number of times and just love it so thank you for posting this recipe.

Wow, Thermofix, thank you for your write-up.  It is one of the most thorough ones I have ever seen.  It will be interesting to see of other people have had similar problems and what the reaction from Thermomix was.  It is a very expensive machine and it sounds as though Thermomix was very dismissive of your complaint.  Maybe your write up on this excellent and far reaching forum will cause them to sit up and take notice.  I am in Canada and have not yet had any problems with mine.  For the sounds of your experience, I would not like to have any problems, either, especially since DH has two left, but well meaning thumbs when it comes to repairs of any kind.  I will be following this thread with interest.  Thanks again to you and your husband too.

The font and type size is much better.  Thank you.

This is the first time I have read this thread for several weeks and really feel for those who are experiencing such terrible problems.  I do hope they can be resolved quickly as it would be a tradgedy to lose any of our wonderful members.  I do not want to sound ungrateful for all that you have done, MM, but I have to ask if you are using a professional web designer / service in this upgrade?  Perhaps that is, in fact, your job as I do not know anything of your background, but I believe it is their job to ensure that so many of these problems do not arise in situations such as this.

As for myself, well, I usually only ever access the forum on my desktop pc - occasionally from a laptop - and I have not experienced so many problems.  I do have Adblock running as well, so that obviously helps.  After reading this thread, I am very reluctant to look at the forum on our notebook or tablet, I think that would really wind me up if I were to have all the problems so many of you are having.

I know you can never keep everyone happy, but you can keep most people smiling.  My fingers are crossed that all will be resolved very soon.

I had wondered in a post farther down if the upgrade had been beta tested as I cannot believe that an upgrade would be problematic for so many people.  Many of these problems would normally be resolved during beta testing, particularly things like a tiny font and a very faint one at that.  And just to add that I agree with another poster who found the dating ads offensive.  Most of the posters are women and I dare say most of us are not interested in dating Asian women, or women period, so I can't figure out the purpose of these ads are.  It sure can't be making the advertisers any money.  Plus, the fact they take up a third of the page is also annoying.

The print has gotten smaller and lighter again.  Was the update beta tested before it went live?  It seems to me that some of these issues should have been addressed during beta testing.

I don't think I have ever been on a site that had 1/3 of it's page occupied by ads.  Very annoying.

I agree.  The font is now easy to read.

I see exactly what you see.   Odd that the rest of it is cut off.

ElsieD in tapatalk on the homepage top right hand side is a drop down bar the search and messages are there. I love tapatalk and hardly ever use the forum online. Might if I could remember my login. Lol

Thank you!  Thank you!  Thank you!  I thank you and my eyes thank you.  It looks like the search capability has improved.  Mind you, that was just in the one search I did to try it out.  This is a fabulous forum, even better now that I can read it!

I asked this question in another thread but sadly for me, no one has been able to respond so I am posting here.  I download Tapatalk but my question now is, how do I delete  forums I do not want and how do I add this forum?  This is the one I really want and unless I can read it, which right now is very difficult, there is no sense in subscribing to it.  The font is tiny, the ads on the side take up at least 25% of the space on my iPad and the faintness of the font doesn't help either.  From what I have read, if I can get Tapatalk to work, it should be a lot easier to read.  Thank you.

I don't think you need to delete the forums you don't want, these are just suggestions - unless you add them you're not subscribed to them.

At the bottom of the page are some icons,  the icon that looks like binoculars  (glasses) is the search function, search for forum Thermomix, then select it and add it. The icon that looks like a person is your home screen, once you've added the forum it will appear here. If it's the only forum you've added, it will be the only forum that should appear on this screen.

Sign in with your normal forum name and password.
Hope that helps.

Thank you so very much for this.  I downloaded Tapatalk and I can now read the forums perfectly and with no ads!  I am very pleased with it.  Can I search for recipes using Tapatalk?

Elsie

In regards to reading the forum via the Internet version on your iPad - I have a mini iPad, so the font is small. I always turn my iPad to landscape to make it bigger, then I stretch the screen so it's bigger again, I stretch it so the ads disappear off the side of the iPad and I'm only left with the part of the forum I want to read.

.......   I really want to be able to follow this forum but I find the type hard to read and the ads taking up 1/3 of the right hand side of the page don't help either.

I've come on today - hello everyone -  and found I can hardly read the posts, or read as I type a reply like now as it is so small. The contrast is too vague, the White background needs stronger print colour and  larger font.

I find the adverts too intrusive and distracting and I understand the revenue is vital to keep this going.

I don't want to be negative when clearly a lot of work has gone in to the new site and  yet I feel I should say something.

I loved the forum and used it so often for recipes... I find I am struggling already and I've only been on twice today.

Am I the only one to be struggling? I felt better when I saw ElsieD's post.
I used to belong to another forum ages ago and it didn't survive a radical makeover, please don't let this happen to this special place.
Thanks and hope you can make it more user friendly.

I posted the same question I posted below to another thread and someone suggested I download Tapatalk and get the posts through that.  I did this and it is now very easy to read and no ads.   I have only just done this so I don't know if I can use the search engine through Tapatalk, I need to fiddle around with it to see.  Please do try Tapatalk, you will be very pleasantly surprised.

I just loaded Tapatalk to my iPad.  How do I get rid of threads I don't want?  And how to I add this forum to it?  Sorry to sound so dumb.  I really want to be able to follow this forum but I find the type hard to read and the ads taking up 1/3 of the right hand side of the page don't help either.
