Beautiful dress Jo - wish I was as talented as you!
Working from home today, kids bored because they want me to do stuff with them and I'm stuck in front of the computer. They can't go outside because it's 41deg here.
Hope this weather doesn't bring on any bushfires, take care everyone.

Oh hally sorry to hear she is going into palative care.. I hope for you all she goes quickly.. If it helps we didnt take the kids to see their grandmother when she was in palative.. Its not nice for adults hally let alone kids.. I still have those few days permanently etched in my brain like it was yesterday and we are almost a year on.. Imo its best for kids to remember them how they were... The kids know where she rests and we talked alot about her death to them.. There was a nice story for kids and death about it being like a fire going out.. Its warm and vibrant when alite and cold and nothing when it goes out... Its hard all round.. Thinking of you and your family xx

If they have put her into palative care hally its usually not long :(. They put them into palative when there is nothing they can do.. Saying that though ive heard of ppl coming out of palative as they take them off all the meds and for some reason they manage to fight back but that is rare!! Hugs hally xx

Lovely dress Jo - very talented.
DH and I went to Timbertown today in Wauchope, about 20 minutes from Port Macquarie. Excellent day. Wish I could post some photos.

Hally you look like you have a tough few days or weeks ahead of you.

Jo, one of DD's favourite gifts when she was tiny was a dress made for her by an Aunt. Your dress looks lovely.

ES there is hardly anyone at the beach. Where are they all?

Lovely dress Jo, little girls love shiny, pink dresses ;D
The beach was probably empty because it was just too hot Cookie.  I bet our beaches are crowded tonight though.

except for my little girl, sadly  :-)) typical.  At least I have a few nieces!

Hope it's starting to cool down for the day over there!

Lovely dress Jo- she is sure to love it, especially if she knows her cousins have helped choose the material.
The beach wasn't busy at it was lunchtime and very hot. It had been very busy when we arrived as Vacswim classes had started at 8.30, but most people had left before we did.

Hally, my thoughts are with you and your family at this tough time.
When I was about 12 my grandfather was in pallative care and I was able to see him. He just looked very tired and ill. When I was 22 I was too late to see my nan. I don't feel bad about either situation, it is just what happened- I'm sure what ever works out for your family will work out, every situation is different.

Jo, your dress is so special. I have kept the two dresses my aunt made for me when I was younger and I'm looking forward to the day my little one can wear and love them like I did.
