Does GS enjoy sitting by the fire CC?
Not really Cookie. He's always wants to do something either playing with his toys or playing games. He only sits near the fire when he wants to watch a cartoon on the TV.

Marina, Jilly is playing with her School Pipe band.  They are competing against other schools.  Looks like perfect weather.   Last year they were washed out. The year before  it was a heatwave.
We are taking Gert along.  We will take our chairs and sit under the beautiful trees and watch the antics and of course listen to the pipes.

That sounds beautiful Chookie. Bagpipes are awesome.

Introducing Gert to the Chooks today and inspecting veggie garden.
Last night Gert met the 3 ducklings and watched the antics as Ral fed the 2 remaining fish.
Then out to the Yacht club for lunch.
Will bake overnight SD loaf this morning.

Beautiful day up here today - Gert may even be tempted to shed a layer (or two) of clothing

Gert is coping amazingly well with our unpredictable weather.
Today we are cooking.  Rhubarb tart, Portuguese Custard Tarts, Hummus  and SD loaf.

On Friday DS came home on the bus with a huge gingerbread house and a pet carrier with the chicken he raised at school for science. It is a bantam m.... It is settling in well but is in a box inside at night . Today I keep putting it out in a big cage in the garden and tell DS that is were it is to be. Spotted DS and chick studying for exams under the tree. It is black and small .
Just went to check on our six chooks that we got many weeks ago as on was in the nesting box , yes one small egg , here we go eggs a plenty soon .

K Atie glad your Chooks have started to lay.
We are taking Gert to the Airport today.  We are sad to see her go.  She has been the ideal guest as we are all so comfortable together. We have cooked together and she has cleaned up after me,!!! she has collected the eggs,  picked spinach for breakfast , sorted out our problems with iPads and phones.   Gert has also inspired me to really get going on my diet.   There are still many things for her to see and do in our town so she will have to come again.

I can guess how you all must have felt when Gert left. True friends are wonderful.

Our weiro woke us last night about 2.30am. The poor darling was having a seizure or similar. He died not long after. We all felt very sad as we have had him for a very long time. I will miss his 'hello' and 'what ya doin'.

Oh cookie, how sad for you and your delightful little bird.  It must have been a shock for you all.

Today was trading table day so I was there at early to set ourselves up for 9 friends coming in to join us. The circle seats around the table grew wider and wider, a good time was had by all and they all went home happy with their purchases.  Back home by 2.30 as I had 7 female neighbours in for our Christmas afternoon tea, the last 2 left at 7 pm.

Pity Gert’s visit is over Chookie, sounds like you would have liked her to stay longer.

Very well done on the your success today at the Care Home Judy.

I went to the podiatrist this morning and then did my grocery shopping.  I put a radio beside the budgie as he looked so sad without his friend. He is sitting on my shoulder at the moment,  as DD and D H are out walking.
