I made the Quince paste on the weekend and ended up after cooking for 90 mins with a pink mess:)
Waste of money, time and effort?

Tips and Tricks / Re: Composting

I have 3 Bokashi bins, in which you put all of your kitchen waste, then a layer of fermented grains, sort of pickles the mixture. I then leave for 3 weeks, hence the 3 bins, after 3 weeks I empty the first bin into a trench in the garden, cover with a layer of soil and in 3 weeks it has all been eaten up by microbes. My very sandy soil in Fairview Park, SA has slowly been transformed. :-*

Breakfast / Re: Valerie's Yoghurt & Yoghurt Cheese

I followed the recipe in the EDC and put it in the Easy Yo Yoghurt maker with hot water (as I used to use) maybe this is why my result was slightly lumpy, not a smooth texture that I am used to?
I used Jalna Pot set.

Have now made Queen of Sheba Bath Salts, Lemon Butter (divine) ground coffee beans, ground pepperberries, made yoghurt but it was not smooth-any suggestions?

Introduce Yourself / Hi, I have seen the light!
« on: November 18, 2011, 07:22:16 am »
Hi all,
As a new owner, but not new to Thermomix, my good friend has had one for 3 years! I have jumped in at the deep end and have become a consultant!
I will be trying out lots of the recipes and reporting back on successes and failures.
First failure: forgot to put seal on lid when making icing sugar! Sugar went everywhere!
Second failure: Forgot to put butterfly in bowm when making fried rice, ending up with gruel!!
Successes: beetroot and chocolate cake, Chicken Korma (Indian Cook book), smoothies, mixed berry sorbet.
Cheers
Tina      :)
