I would even fly down for that one (or drive 7hrs). Let me know if it happens.

Good Point and too hard to get to. Best go somewhere where nobody knows us.

I reckon also. No one else in the restaurant is to know, and jeez its money in your sons pocket. If mum wants to be a bit more entertaining than DS knows she is capable of being then make the TM night a night when he is not going to be on duty. My DD21 is in the process of moving to Sydney and I could be persuaded to have a wild night with some Kitchen Goddesses ;D - all things falling into place.

Welcome to the forum. It can be hard with small kids to start using the Thermomix. I suggest reading through the reviews of the cook books or choosing a recipe from here to get you going. I always tell my customers to use the TM every day even to just chop an onion to get used to using it all the time. As your children get older it will be easier to experiment with new dishes too.

OMG!!! Overwhelmed with all the responses here. Thanks everyone for the warm welcome, advice and recipe suggestions. I haven't really been on here except to search for a couple of jam recipes (starting to experiment a bit now  ;) ) and didn't realise that you had all replied to my introduction. Hope you don't think I was being rude? Will have to check the forum settings so I can get an email notification of replies to my posts?
I love the idea of a Sydney get together and would even be open to the idea of hosting it here at my place. We live at Berowra which is pretty easy for Sydneysiders, Coasties and not to far from Newcastle. We could all 'bring a plate' TMX recipes of course  :D

Good to see you have looked up some jam recipes and hope you are becoming more adventurous with thermomix.
Have you tried making bread yet? So easy with thermomix.
Will have to follow up on the Sydney get together.

With two young children Ithat will be too much for you @homemum. Let's choose a public venue where there is no pressure on individual members.
