The Tai Chi wasn’t at all what I expected. Years ago I watched early morning Tai Chi on the Bund in Shanghai. It was balanced and elegant. This was not. Maybe it was modified to suit the group. However, it was good exercise.
Have a visitor for lunch tomorrow. Pumpkin soup and  toastie.

Chookie & Cookie your cooking looks nice.  I have only made bread rolls for lunch on Sunday.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Found a bit of dried up peanut butter in a jar. Added some tahini and made tahini biscuits.
Also found that I could toast slices of butter cake. Very nice for a change.

I stewed some apples, made custard and a pasta sauce.

Yesterday I made a very slow fermenting rustic bread. It is the first bread I've had for a few weeks that has risen above the tin. Lots of flops here at the moment. At least I know it wasn't the yeast as I used that yesterday.
This morning I made some Maltana biscuits. A very simple recipe that I found on a facebook site Trudy told me about. Old Fashioned Australian recipes. I'm finding it fun, another good time waster, but also lots of memories.

Yummy Cookie. How was the bread?
Cooking good intentions out the door as I had a lot of visitors.  One friend even brought sausage rolls!
RTE Thai chicken in peanut sate sauce looks tempting. Might give it a go.

We really like the bread Chookie. I never seem to get the amount of chilli right though. It's either too hot or not hot enough.

Yesterday I had great success cooking chestnuts in the AF. I cut a cross in the tops, sprayed with water and cooked at 160 in preheated oven for 15 mins. Wrapped in tea towel for a few minutes. They pealed easily.
Very pleased at how fresh the wholemeal bread stays after 3 days.

I made some Walnut and Date biscuits today. I love the new ‘chop’ mode on the TM 6. I chopped both the walnuts and the dates to the perfect size.
