I’ve just finished Fiona McIntosh’s The Orphans. It was fantastic. I’ve started Patricia Cornwell’s Livid.

Elizabeth and Elizabeth by Sue Williams. Very interesting, an account of early NSW. Quite well written.

Can’t believe this thread is still going. Really chuffed!
Reading the silence of the girls by Pat barker, partly to see if it’s suitable as a present for a family member and because I studied Greek literature at school.
Will look back when more time for recommendations. Xx

I’ve just had a chuckle. I saw my previous post above where I said I was reading a book by Dave Warner. I’m now reading his latest book.

I have been reading Richard Osman's Thursday Murder Club books.  'Who dun its' are not my usual genre, but I am really enjoying these.

Also just finished Kevin Kwan's Lies and Weddings, another good light read.

DD has just given me Lies and Weddings to read. At the moment I’m reading Fiona McIntosh, Foul Play. I’m enjoying it as I love ‘who dunnits.’

My next book for Book Club is The Bee Keeper of Aleppo. Usually I read immediately I get the book but this time I will read just prior to meeting. Most of my reading is through Kobo, it’s a book shop on line. I pay $15 a month and can select from thousands of titles. Not just novels. They have lots of good recently published recipe books.i check them out on line but do prefer hard copies. I read between 3 and 6 novels a week. Last week I reread Jane Austen’s Persuasion. It’s my favourite of all her novels.

Gosh Chookie that’s a lot of book’s per week, amazing. Is Kobo like an e-reader ? That’s a great deal compared to Audible books that you get a credit ( a free audio book each month ) . My goal each month use to be two audio and two hard copy per month … but not for awhile now .

I read that for Bookclub too Chookie. From memory it wasn’t too bad. I aim to read about a book a week or so, but I don’t always achieve it. Then other weeks I do a couple.

Coming to the end of The Lincoln Highway by Amor Towles.  It has got me totally hooked and I will be sorry when I get to the end of it.  It reminds me a lot of John Steinbeck's books
