Yvette, I have no idea about the warranty period, just wanted to say so very sorry to hear of your troubles and fingers crossed that it is nothing fatal.  Let us know what happens.

If it was a commercial purchase (through a business) it only has one year warranty…if it is domestic purchase it will be two years and HO will have a record of your purchase…do you remember who your consultant was?

Thanks Tenina it was a domestic purchase. My consultant moved to Perth, I am in Sydney I think her name was Dianne Symonds.

out of curiosity Yvette, what is the problem with your TMX?
Title: Re: WARRANTY
Post by: Yvette on August 13, 2011, 11:38:14 am
Faffa it says error 69. It wont just mix, the heating will not turn off. I was trying to make banana bread and dede choc crunch today and the temperature keeps coming on and cooking instead of mixing. It also mucked up during the week which I though I fixed but after today I will be ringing Ho on monday.

Hope you get instant attention from H.O. Yvette.  I was without mine for a while just before the 2 year warranty ran out and I thought I'd be lost without it but we just had different types of meals and ate out a lot more.
Title: Re: WARRANTY
Post by: Yvette on August 13, 2011, 12:03:26 pm
Thanks Judy yes I will have to adapt my meals and hope it comes back quickly. I have only had mine for about 1 year so I was glad to hear the warranty was 2 years. I can't remember the date I received it.

I stapled the invoice inside the owners manual - easy to find there.

Yvette hi,

Unplug your Tm and wait at least 30seconds or 1 minute then plug it in and try again.

OMG is there nothing worse than a TMX that doesn't work. I think we all live in fear of this happening to us. Hope it gets sorted quickly Yvette. Frozzie I hope your error isn't a sign of things to come. I know you've already had problems before. I have fingers crossed for you both.
Title: Re: WARRANTY
Post by: Frozzie on August 13, 2011, 02:22:39 pm
Yes I agree twitterpated and i certainly hope not...but with something electrical there is bound to be weird things happen...as long as its not permanent and fro what I have heard it happens just as long as it doesnt reoccur...yvette hope that unplugging it for a while helps but I would still let head office or your consultant know incase in happens again if you get it working again  :)

Yvette we are all feeling your pain! !!!!!! I hope that I do not have to refer to it but probably for the first time ever I too stapled the receipt to the inside of my thermie folder  :)  :)

Meagan and Frozzie I did unplug it and tried a few more things too. This has now happened my last two cooking days so it is something wrong with my TM that I cannot fix.
Thank you ladies for you kind wishes

Hi all

Just letting you know I spoke to HO this morning and my TM will be picked up on Wednesday by courier and then looked at and repaired by the people in Sydney. It will be approx 10 days. How will I cope for that long?
Title: Re: WARRANTY
Post by: judydawn on August 15, 2011, 05:23:23 am
You will cope Yvette but you will miss it dreadfully and the empty space on your counter top will really be obvious  ;)
Pity they can't leave a loan one when they take our machines away but guess that would be asking too much.

Post by: dede on August 15, 2011, 05:34:07 am
I am just so happy that it is still under warranty for you. Hope the 10 days go quickly for you. Do you remember how to cook without a TM? I would have to really think ahead now if I had to go without my TM for that long.
Title: Re: WARRANTY
Post by: Yvette on August 15, 2011, 05:34:32 am
Yes Judy a loan one would be great. Now I just need to find a box big enough to put it in. It has to be transported on its side with the lid locked into place.

Post by: Yvette on August 15, 2011, 05:37:29 am
Yes Dede I do remember vaguely.  This weeks menu is:

Roast Pork Dinner
Beef Stroganoff in the slow cooker
Sausage Sizzle
Chicken Schnitzel
Dominos Pizza

That's one week down, will come up with next weeks menu later

Yvette, I hope it's fixed quickly. Maybe a kind consultant from Sydney could organise a box for you from one of their deliveries. I always have one spare here for people who want to travel with it. No returns yet - touch wood. Good luck. And I always think that it's nice to go without things sometimes so we can really appreciate them when they are back in our lives.
Title: Re: WARRANTY
Post by: Frozzie on August 15, 2011, 06:51:45 am
wow you need to sort your own box???  In France they send UPS to you with a special box xith instructions and a formto fill out and put in the box then UPS comes back and picks it up and its also UPS that returns it to you in the same box!
Title: Re: WARRANTY
Post by: Yvette on August 15, 2011, 08:33:07 am
Good idea Sue my DH thinks we have one in the garage.

Yes Frozzie we have to sort our own box, label the jug and base and fill out form, then the courier picks it up. I will also have to buy bubble wrap tomorrow.

You should try and get a new consultant assigned to you in Sydney. I'm led to believe that it's part of the Thermomix customer support that your consultant helps you with any servicing. One of the big sellers when people buy a Thermomix - apart from the wonderful product itself.
