You may feel a bit overwhelmed at the start of using the TM. Soon though, you will find that the more you use it the
more wonderful meals you will be making. However, things sometimes do go wrong, like my quinch paste that turned into
toffee. It is all part of the cooking experience, don't think?

Hi Peppersmum, welcome to the forum.
There are many people here to help you cooking large quantities of food. As far as the grainy soup is concerned I cook mine until the vegies are very soft and blend them twice. I have had my TM for nearly 3 years now and with experience I learned that one doesn't have to follow everything that the recipe says but rather use them (recipes) as a guide. Enjoy your TM.

Hi Monomix, I agree with you, it is a shame that some countries are going through difficult times due to economic crisis. One think is certain that your average person in the street is not at fault. But as it often happens he is the one who has to make the sacrifices. We all hope that they come out of the crisis in the shortest time possible. As far as the ill treatment of the people is concerned, we all have our thoughts about that, but the reality is that it is a small and vulnerable country. I hope to convert and post some Greek recipes as soon as I find the time.

Welcome to the forum monomix.
It is exciting living in another country and learning the language well enough to convert the recipes is great.
I came from Greece myself and made Australia home when I married an aussie. Now that the kids have flown the nest,
we try and visit Europe every year and Island is on our list for next year. My husband is a fancofile and have been
going to france every year for the past few years and have a great time. Good luck with yourTM demonstrations.

Hi Gill and Jason Welcome to the forum. In a short time cooking in the TM will become even more enjoyable for you. In fact you will be looking for things to try and with every good outcome you would want to do more. I had my TM for 2 and a half years and still is a real joy to cook and more impotantly try new recipes from the books and the forum. Hi Loes, welcome to the forum. I'm from Tassie too, from the south. How nice not having to be apart from your most helpful friend. I do miss my "thermo" when we go away and we haven't been camping for years.
