Title: Recipe review: Sambal Nasi Lemak from Easy Cooking, Healthy Eating (Malaysian c
Post by: BeezeeBee on July 18, 2013, 02:58:05 pm
Made this sambal to go with our Nasi Lemak today. This dry type of sambal turned out tasty and fragrant. Just a bit too salty, and needed more onions. Could be because I used red onions instead of shallots. Will add more liquid in future.

My bowl was burnt at the bottom during the 25 mins of cooking. Had to use jif and lots of scrubbing to get the stains out :(

Thank goodness the sambal was yummy :P

The sambal is in the bottom left corner. (http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/07/18/ehasuheg.jpg)

Bzb,i find it is helpful to have the blades going a bit faster than recipes reccomend to stop it catching on the base. Looks tasty though.

Bedlam, the speed was 4. I tried to scrape with my spatula on the middle of the cooking but not very effective.

Bedlam, would you increase the speed to > 4? Wondering how to avoid the stains.

No, usually get that problem when a slower speed.
