What have you been doing today?

Marina it sounds as though your life has been totally turned upside down.
Today we travelled from Mount Magnet, via Yalgoo to Morawa. My home town. There are basically no wildflowers.
We went to the historical societies museum today. My Dad’s very old truck is in there. I loved it as so many bits and pieces were donated by people I knew. Then I chatted to one of the old guys in there and found I knew him. We visited his farm in 1953 to see a plane land. It was an amazing experience- I actually remember doing it. He is 89 and was able to remember what car Dad had at the time. It all made me feel warm and goose bumpy.

Marina hang in there . Cookie what a great time you are having , love those flowers. I remember you posted some like that before, they should be called Joy , that’s what they brought to me .
A very busy day for DD who had a Business Management Sac and a maths test . DS worked till late afternoon on an assessment. By 4.45 I declared we all had to go outside for a long walk . Was so good even attended to a ewe down , but think that she will not make it . Long walks fresh air best medicine .

Love those flowers, Cookie.

What an amazing meeting with the guy at the museum.  Back in '53 airplanes would have been a huge novelty, no wonder you remember it.

We got home about 4 yesterday. Our 4 nights seemed to go so fast. DH went and saw MIL. He said all she says is that she wants to go home. It’s awful as she can’t even stand, let alone care for herself. It’s the first time this has come up for a bout 8 years.

When I was about 3 or 4 I ran down this truck (it didn’t have the bin on )and “flew” off the end. I can still remember being absolutely certain that I would fly. I don’t remember landing at all. I guess Dad picked me up.

Some of the canola growing up that way, it’s quite pretty.

Sadly mine was too. Probably lots of tears and maybe a bit of blood.
I’ve done a bit of washing today. I need to hang it on the patio as it’s pouring. It will all get done eventually.
I’ve also made a Classic loaf and have the starter going for a rye SD.

CC, sounds like you had a nice time. How old is Louis now?
Louis is eight years old.

CC, I assume you are in your new home by now, but I am so far behind with everything that is happening on here just now that I haven't seen any posts.  Hope you are in and comfortable and that Chance has approved of the changes.

Yes Marina we are in our new house. Still unpacking our boxes. Chance seems to have settled well into our new home.

Loved your photos Cookie.

We went to the accountant this morning to have our tax done. With the lousy interest rates our income is down rather a lot from last year.

DH decided to have a hair cut so I jumped on and did the shopping, home to stock the fires and lay out food for dinner . Did Zoom yoga , not a relaxing one as DD had a meeting then they all had dinner with a lot of noise . Unpacked shopping after having a bid to eat . I for a wet cold week .
