Finished Jack Reacher. Was almost car sick we spent so much time on the road!

gert

Gert this was the first Reacher book that I didn't really enjoy.  Usually I don't want them to end, but with this one I was glad it did.  ;D

I've been reading a lot of Ken Folletts books lately, he's an excellent writer. Have just started reading a Bryce Courtney book, but I must say I still prefer Ken's style of writing.

Looking for a good name for my new Kindle. Previous Kindles have been called Mogger, Cumbayah, and Hyacinth Bouquet.

Byblos is a good name for a Kindle.

Byblos is thought to have been a goddess of writing ;D

Or if your Kindle has male orientation then Nabu perhaps.

Gosh I had better name my ereader. The thermothingy and other machine have names. Even the new car is called Dulux. (Cross between dual cab and hilux)

I received some vouchers for the ereader today so I will be able to have a buy up.

Just finished my first holiday read for the break - Louise Penny's "The Beautiful Mystery" an Inspector Gamache mystery.  Always just a little existential and angsty, so just a touch above the run of the mill murder mysteries.

I've got such a pile on the table by my bed & have just found out the Boomerang Books (Aussie online book seller) has a sale on.
Well - of course I have to support the local book dealers, so I bought "Crossing to Safety" by Wallace Stegner & "White Truffles in Winter" a novel based around the life of Escoffier.  :-))
