Made a batch of roast apple and pumpkin soup today and have a loaf of bread in the oven.  I used the ancient grain bread mix from Lighthouse.  Also have some beef ribs in the slow cooker for dinner tonight.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

I converted an Apricot crumble Bar recipe today and it is delicious - like a nutty shortbread with apricot jam through it.  Hopefully the kids will enjoy it after school.  Made some pasties for dinner tomorrow night and will make up some mixed berry muffins this afternoon.  I've got some filo pastry that is about to hit its use by date so i might make some apple berry and ricotta tarts for dessert.

Hi snappy, do you think you will be posting that Apricot crumble bar recipe? Sounds really yum :)

Have been baking today as it is so cold.  2/4 degrees all day.

Made 2 lots of bread,  refrigerator Sourdough,  but so cold i left it in the lounge room all night. Did all the right things by 7 this morning.  See photo.
Then made a flat loaf by pressing a No Fuss grain mixture in to a baking tray.
While all this was going on I made Sweet Chilli Sauce.  Love this recipe.  Thanks Thermoconvert.

Must draw attention to Isi's Light Coffee cream.  Often make it when we have visitors as it is excellent after a large meal,  and can be made several days before.

Was inspired by Judy's Fritters and had leftover cooked root veggies.  For each cup of mashed cooked veggies add 1 egg, some grated cheese and some potato flour,(1 dessertspoon)S and P. Cook in pan sprayed with a little oil.  had these with reheated leftover roast lamb and gravy.

Tonight leftover cream of celery soup with above bread.
Thanks to all who post on this thread ,  it is a real inspiration.  Love the Photos.

Only mayonnaise so far today, then dinner a little later.

Wow! That loaf looks great!

I made three batches of playdough- 1 for my 23month old DD and 2 for school....first time making it in the TMX, I will never cook it on the stove again!

Today, DS & I are cooking Milk Chocolate Mud Cake for morning tea at work tomorrow. It's a trial run for DS's cake, I think I'm going to use this recipe for it, so I'm just playing around a little. I'm going to frost it with Creamy Vanilla Frosting but I'm going to use cocoa, as per Maddy's instructions.

We're having casserole in the pressure cooker for dinner tonight and I thought Tenina's soft buttermilk rolls would be nice to have with it. The roux is 'cooling slightly' at the moment...

Today I managed to get the following bargains at my local fruit and veg shop..

3 dozen eggs for $5
8 punnets of 500g strawberries for just $5 (the ugly ones which nobody else wants!)
5kg of lemons for just $1

So far I have made Tenina's Berry Lime Coulis which I've frozen in portions, Gert's strawberry ice cream (smelt beautiful), I've frozen loads of strawberries for smoothies and I now have a big bowl sitting on the kitchen bench waiting for inspiration.

I'm making some lemon butter for the next door neighbor and considering making Va Va Voom Stawberry Jam for myself.  I have those mocconna coffee jars which I thought would be good to store it in.  How would I sterilize the internal plastic part though?

Any thoughts of what I should do with some of this beautiful produce?  Any ideas greatly welcomed!
