Hi everyone
I managed to find some fresh yeast and I am not loving it I have used it twice ( a buttermilk loaf and pizza dough ) and they both had a different taste when compared to using dried yeast. Is that normal?
I have been putting the fresh yeast in with the warm water and putting on sp 1/2 for a few secs to dissolve.
The smell of the fresh yeast turns my stomach as soon as I cut it up and I think that might be having an impact on me eating the final product, reliving the terrible smell
Does anyone else use the fresh stuff?
