Title: download cooking books for free
Post by: macorla on January 11, 2009, 12:58:05 am
Hi eveybody,

There is one web page where you can download many cooking books, some of them for TMX. You may know the web but just in case  here it is:

http://www.4shared.com/network/search.jsp?sortType=1&sortOrder=1&sortmode=2&searchName=cocina&searchmode=2&searchName=cocina&searchDescription=&searchExtention=&start=0

Enjoy  :-*

Gracias, that is where I downloaded A Todo Vapor - in Spanish, but the pictures help when combined with Italian A Tutto Vapore in text form that I can translate.

That is how some of the recipes appear here from the Full Steam Ahead book.

Have a look to this, the only problem with Picasa is that you have to download it image by image and it takes time

http://picasaweb.google.es/megarecetas

another one : http://vagos.wamba.com/archive/index.php/t-222822.html ( here there are some TMX magazine scanned)

and some more:

gracias,  For those interested in finding what is in the Full Steam Ahead book . . .

You can find the Spanish A Todo Vapor in www.4shared.com and then go to the Cocinar con Thermomix forum page: http://thermoforo.com/index.php?topic=671.0 (http://thermoforo.com/index.php?topic=671.0) where you will have links to the individual recipes.

You can copy and paste into the Translator at http://www.lasrecetasthermomix.com/ (http://www.lasrecetasthermomix.com/) or wherever, to get a fair idea of the recipe.

Beware some translations are not precise - eg "harina de fuerza" is strong, bakers' or hard flour - but translates as "flour power" - which sounds more of a 60's thing from San Fransisco with the hippies.   ;D

Not sure if macorla still visits here, but does anybody know what happened to the Spanish forum she was involved with - it doesn't seem to exist.

Thanks for the info. I found two THX books on the Internet yesterday in German which is absolutely brilliant. It's a shame I speak no Spanish, because there are millions of recipe collections out there.

Also try Scribd:
http://www.scribd.com
Search for Thermomix.
They have no download delay like 4shared or Rapidshare. Also, if you do decide to scan and post a book for download, Scribd is a good place to do it.

Anyone using FireFox browser-- go to Firefox add-ons and install a translator. Just search the add-ons for language or translator. FoxLingo works well. Google also offers a translator. These work on webpages, but sometimes not too well on certain forums.

thnx pedro. unfortunately i ensured my DD's had a better education than I that included a second language other than English. i wished you lived a bit closer. Hate to admit it cos I am a mum, but you look very cute from your avatar and am sure my DD's  (both beautiful 20 + 22yo ) would love to taste your desserts as they are young, and it would be very inspirational. Is this a rare thing for a male to specialise in or just very advanced thinking on your behalf?

Isnt those books copyrighted material which is most likely illegal to DL?

Definitely a forum first.  Very entertaining though. Perhaps we should ask our Moderator to make a new section. ;) ;D
