Michele I know 40 year old kids who still go home to their parents' place (mostly) for special occasions - I think it's great when the young ones take over from Mum.

Good to hear that you enjoyed your class ladies.  Congrats on winning the door prize Trudy :)

Nikkit, sorry to hear your girls missed out on their shopping trip, hopefully they can go tomorrow.

Can't relate to the Mums missing their first time schoolers....I skipped out of that school & felt like fist punching the air when DS went....my word he was a handful LOL  :P  Couldn't come quick enough  ;D  ;D

A self imposed forum break to try & catch up on lots of things...holidays flew by, and we did manage to get away last weekend.  DH had the longest hay season ever & his customers doubled this year, so not much of a break  :-\
Their fishing trip was a success, and DS caught this ripper

he's still smiling about it...and apparently that pic will be published in a fishing magazine soon...he will be so stoked!

Oh, forgot to say how lovely for you all to catch up   8) sounds like a lovely class....shame we don't get many varied ones here.

The last 2 days, after 12 months of having a hole dug for the pool, we finally evicted the ducks from their "pond", & set up the pool!
I now understand why people pay people to do that task  :o My Goodness...that was so much fun...NOT!
As hubby was starting to get water in, we had a mishap, and the long side wall had come out of its track & started collapsing   :-))  an hour later after kids & I were holding it up, I ended up with severe sunburn on my back & shoulders  :-)) DH then said "why didn't you put a tshirt on??  yes Einstein....I'm sure he wouldn't have minded me leaving & letting it collapse again  :-X

Oh I completely agree H....DH is one of those that scoffs at hiring a person, and believes he can do it all  :-)).
