As per title - care to share and inspire?
Our current fave is chilli prawn and I usually add roast capsicum. Tonight no caps just prawns and so I added marinated fetta. Not sure if the combo will work lol.
So what is your regular fave pizza topping - other than ham and pineapple :P
-
Pesto and bocconcini with a few sundried tomatoes.
-
Sour cream base with artichoke hearts and rocket. Tomato base with anchovies, fresh chillies and fresh lime basil from my garden.

I'm with you Cookie. That's my fave too!
-
marinated lamb, feta, onion, sundried tomatoes topped with garlic sauce.
-
a flavoured chicken such as tandoori or satay.
also love mexican ones
i love lots of veg and just the tiniest sprinkle of cheese
-
Any combination of smoked chicken, tomato, pine nuts, sundried tomatoes or fresh, grilled zucchini, grilled pumpkin, marinated artichoke... usually off of them!
-
My lot are soooo boring! Only homemade THX tomato sauce, tuna, bacon and onion, with cheese & oregano on top!
-
I toss cubed pumpkin or sweet potato in olive oil and Ras el Hanout, then roast for about 10-15 mins. I sprinkle that on the base with shredded chook, caramelised onion and bocconcini - yum!
Or just a plain tomato base with bocconcini or buffalo mozarella cooked, then add smoked salmon, fresh basil and sour cream.
Or Semi dried tomatoes, roasted capsicum, prosciutto and cheese.
-
oooh yum amanda, was wondering what to do withe leftover ras el hanout i made...
-
Bumping this thread. I made a simplified version of Chef Laurents "Veggie Pizza Topping" using zucchini, garlic and fetta. Sprinkled this across the tomato base, added bacon, roasted capsicum and cheese. Was delicious.
-
Thanks for bumping this one Cathy. We have so many new members since the last posting that maybe there are a few more ideas out there that might now see the light of day.
How did you cut the zucchini - grate, make batons or use a peeler to make thin strips?
-
A riff off the California Pizza Kitchen's BBQ Chicken Pizza - BBQ sauce, chunks of chicken, red onions and smoked gouda
-
My fave is smoked salmon, bocconcini and spanish onion, with a little pizza sauce under the smoked salmon.
My sister does a beautiful potato and caramelised onion one too.
-
I'm getting hungry... :-))

I used the TMX - chopped the garlic, added the zucchini and chopped into small pieces, about the size of coleslaw ingredients. Then added a little oil and cooked on 80deg for about 10 minutes, or until cooked. I had to drain quite a bit of moisture off it before adding to the pizza.
Could certainly make thin strips with a peeler which would look nice, but the kids would have dodged it then.

Thanks Cathy.

Yum, I'm hungry too

Another idea is to keep those brochures from your junk mail and pinch some of their ideas for toppings ;) ;)

I did that with a Baked Spud place - took their pamphlet listing all the fillings!
You're all so imaginative with your pizza toppings! I'm a basic girl and like tomato base (my own, with diced Mediterranean Vegies), onion, salami, capsicum, champignons, pineapple (for DH :-)), anchovies and grated mozzarella on top!
-
We're pretty basic here too. All the usual with lots of hot peperoni and anchovies.
Sometimes we do one crust with pesto, sundried tomato and bocconcini. DH says pizza is meant to be 'the lot' but DD and I often make an 'us' pizza, which he tucks into as well.
I always intend to do a sweet pizza but we are usually too full to even contemplate it.
-
Just bumping this as we are having pizza tonight.
So what toppings do you suggest for the left over BBQ chicken I have?
-
Using you own base Jabejak, how about this one http://aww.ninemsn.com.au/food/1045657/chilli-chicken-pizza-with-pesto

My favourite is:
BBQ Base, spanish onion, bacon and potato wedges and cheese of course! Once its cooked, add a little sour cream! Our local pizza place does this, but I think it tastes better when I make the base in the TMX. Give it a try
Sometimes its nice with left over BBQ chicken too.
the other one i make is a supreme pizza, but add the chicken meatballs from the EDC book. Its great too.
