My qual is BEd (Phys Ed & Health) but moved to the Vet Industry to nurse horses and am now still in the same industry but working in finance & practice management. Love the industry but got too old to run our lame horses :'(

I'm a qualified horticulturist, but for the last 4.5 years I have been a SAHM. And I am not sure what I am going to do when she goes to school full time next year.

Very interesting group we are. I was an operating theatre sister in Sydney for many years  before moving to Cairns 7 years ago.  I  do miss the surgery but don't miss the surgeons at all.  ;D Now I read , cook and look after the old bugger DH.

I have always worked in the clerical field, hotel/motel reception mainly, but my last job was as an assistant branch manager for a private health fund.  I left there planning on having a break for a few months while my kids were little.  That was 14 years ago and I haven't worked since, just love being home.  My 'kids' are now almost 23 and almost 21 and still live at home  :o   ;D

Wow! How diverse everyone's backgrounds are.

Janzee - Yep I need to chat to you too  ;) ;) :D :D :D

Alioop - would love to chat to you too as Miss 3 stutters un and off, more when she's stressed - which started while I was away for work 11 months ago and she was exposed to a very stressful situation.

Well I work at a well known Winery in NE Vic, where I have been for 11 years  :o :o (most of my working life). Through that time I worked in various areas of the winery in mostly an admin capacity, Front of House in the restaurant, admin in the Winery, Purchasing, and now in the Marketing area co-ordinating the process that each wine goes through to be released plus a few other bits and pieces.

I originally trained as a nurse working and was working with psychogeriatrics, before which I worked at the RSPCA for nearly ten years.  I have been a SAHM for 19 years now, and am probably completely unemployable - which suits me quite well really!!  I love to cook, cross stitch and read (and waste time on the computer) and when I'm not doing that I am driving/chasing around 3 teenagers, 17 steers, 6 chooks, 2 dogs and a horse.
Actually, my days are really fairly full!

Hehe lol, they are pretty empty by the time I see the innards!  However, we do diagnose a significant number with cealiac disease so can see lots of opportunity for TMX!

I have been a SAHM for over 2 years and have just been approved for another years leave - woo hoo!  I'm not sure how I will ever get motivated to return to work (teaching - specialising in early childhood and special needs).  I love being at home with the boys, pottering about in my garden and cooking up a storm with Thermie.

Thanks Ali  :-* :-*

Our GP suggested getting her to sing what she's saying - but have had no luck. She's head strong, determined and stubborn - sounds a bit like her mum  ;) :D :D
