Title: Has anyone got a good recipe for a cob loaf?
Post by: grapesy83 on May 07, 2012, 02:16:11 am
I was wanting to do the good ol fashioned spinach dip in the warm cob loaf? Anyone got any good recipes for this? I haven't got my TMX yet but should be here either tomorrow or Wednesday

Thanks CP - sounds complicated for a novice like me but will give it a crack - along with all the other things I have added to my must try list - Baked new york cheesecake - scones - gingerbread men

Grapes83,  Cobb is the shape of the loaf and can be made with any bread recipe.  Try CP's recipe as many have used this recipe with great success.

SOOOO I had a crack at the cobb loaf - looked amazing, not so great inside! Don't think I cooked it long enough, seemed a little raw still.  Never fear!

grapesy83,  don't lose heart,  even the experts have trouble knowing when a loaf is cooked.  Buy an instant thermometer, and if it reads 200+F then it will be cooked.
