What have you been doing today?

Chookie that is wonderful, how exciting to be trying a new hotel. Very nice to get the extra night free too.

In about 10 days there is an event called The Red Dust Revival.  It is at a very old racetrack about 40km out of Kalgoorlie, called Percolili. It is for very old cars, pre 1939.  The car that we drove to Darwin and back with is going up. The man who we went with unfortunately died 2 years ago and his daughter has his cars. The one called Cecilia is hers. This morning we went out to see them as they were scrutinised for the event. We would love to have gone.

Great photos cookie.
Me and a friend spent 5 hours at the Royal Show today in perfect weather conditions. I’m sure we will both sleep well tonight.

When I went in to see Mum at the nursing home this afternoon, they were having their own Royal Show event upstairs - sideshow alley.  They came up with some good ideas and it was almost as noisy as sideshow alley at the real show.  Once the teams have played the 4 games they are given a ‘showbag’ with a small packet of fairy floss and a chocolate if they have no special dietary needs. Those who cannot eat these items are given something more suitable.  There’s a chicken hatching set-up downstairs in our area so people are in and out all day looking at that, 3 chicks hatched today. There’s a real buzz around the place.

It sounds the residents of the home had a really good time Judy.
Yesterday I traveled into London early to look after GS for the day. We went for breakfast together and then travelled by Tube to the Natural History Museum. It was very busy there. We had a good time looking at the various exhibits especially the Dinosaurs. We then went for lunch in the T-Rex Cafe.  GS chose off the childrens menu Tomato Rigatoni Pasta. It came with a side of chips. He ate everything, 🤣 I had Poached Salmon with Salad. After lunch we look at a few more exhibits then headed back to his home. DD returned from work and I made my way home. An exhausting day but so worth every minute.
Today I’ve been just pottering around at home.😁

CC, the days we spend with the GC are really special.  Sounds like a very good one for you both. Bet you were exhausted.  We picked GS up from school, fed him and then put his bike into the back on the van and took him to the bike track. GP do come in handy.
Judy, love the chicken hatching tale.  Young and old love to watch them hatch.
Nothing scheduled for today, thank heavens.  Had morning tea on the veranda in the sun yesterday.  Hope we have had the end of the very cold weather.

I hope you can find one like ours Marina when and if the time comes, a long way off for you though.
Denise your day out with Louis was just what any lad would love, exhausting for you but some treasured memories for both of you.
Chookie how old is your bike loving GS?  I can imagine how nice it would have been sitting on your balcony enjoying the sun yesterday, any time I’ve been to Ballarat I’ve felt it was the coldest place I’d ever been.

The blue one is amazing Judy. It has a V8 and goes so very fast and makes lots of noise. It’s a De Largė, a French car.

Marina ours is the black one on the far end.

Love the cars, especially the Blue one.  Ral said he thought it might be French.  What a beauty.
Like your one , on the end.  Do you dress up when you ride in it?
Bruce and Mandy came for lunch.  They have just returned from a World Cruise.
All cleaned up and packed away.  No cooking for the next few days.

Today I spent an enjoyable few hours with a friend who has had a leg amputated. Her rehab is now going well and it won’t be long before they let her take her prosthesis home.
