RAL says hello to you Michele and your DH.  He remembers you both coming to Cherokee for lunch with CC.
Cookie, thanks for the link.  I used to follow this blog. It was excellent.
KAtie, no recipe for the Lamb shank and barley soup.  Just pop into SC lamb shank , or 2.  Cover with water and tip in 1/2 packet of pearl barley.  Add cubed carrot, a sliced leek, lots of the top part of celery and the leaves. Cook on high all day.  Can add a handful of rolled oats.  Serve with plenty of fresh parsley. RAL had this for lunch today and I had roast carrot soup.

Chookie Michelle asked for the shank soup recipe but it looks so easy and when I get some shanks I’ll have to try this too.
Made an apple cake tonight . What is it with DD and DS , they think it is funny to remove the recipes I print out to cook , then they hide them . They want me to do something that I have put off for ages , so this is thier ploy . Obviously I found the recipe page !

K Atie, the shank soup is not only tasty but good for you as all the goodness from the bones goes into the soup. I forgot to mention that I add a good tablespoon of TMX veggie paste.

A big hello to Ral too. That was  a lovely day Chookie, the food was amazing and the company wonderful.
Yesterday made Cookie's mango fruit cake. Had some frozen mango to use up. It only has 2 tlbsp of butter and no added sugar.
Getting way too much food for 2 people. Have given away half the biscuits and will drop some fruit cake off to the neighbours.

Michele, yes it was an amazing day.  To have CC come to Australia and everyone who came contributed so much.  Even Gert sending the wine.
It is nice to share the food, especially in this lock down. Helps people feel connected, and many people don’t bake.

Chookies, no fuss bread rolls in the airfryer.
They look ok but might end up on the oops page as I only did 1 rise instead of 2.  :-))

Congratulations Michele.  The second rise gives you an increase sized roll and a better texture.
They look good.

The rolls and cake look lovely Mich. I have some mango in the freezer that the man over the road gave us. I think it may well turn into that fruit cake.
I have my rye SD starter out and I will make the dough later in the day to pop in the fridge overnight.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

I wanted a side for Kababs that wasn’t too carb heavy.  I made up this recipe with Quinoa and Broccoli Rice.  Very easy.

I hope to graduate onto sour dough but am just thrilled that the rolls turned out.

Like the idea of the quinoa and broccoli rice. We over dosed on cauliflower rice when DH went on the keto diet last year.

Making CP's pumpkin and corn soup today.

Good soup weather, going to make some Cauli and tomato soup for lunch. The Cauli will make it creamy without added carbs.
Made a loaf of Laucke Soy and ?, Rye and plain bread flour loaf.  Using up the odd bits.
Made sausage rolls for GS.
Michele I can post you some dried SD starter with instructions.  Let me know.

Thankyou Chookie. I have a Laucke German grain mix. Would I be able to make that into rolls and bake in the airfryer?
