I have been saying for years that the various food marketing authorities are their own worst enemies because they always 'pushed' the perfect fruit / vegetable - emphasising looks, not taste - and anything that didn't meet their imagined perfect standard was unacceptable. I hope one of the big chains here catch on to this wonderful initiative. Our farmers certainly need this sort of support as well.

Great minds think alike ;D ;D I've shared it, too. Can you just imagine the "Big 2" doing this and claiming, "Look what wonderful things we're doing now!" lol

There's a store that I often pop into on my way home when I have a casual day's work at school. They have a set of shelves near the exit door with marked down, "imperfect" stock . ... it's my first port of call . . . ;)
